Hi Everyone.. I just got engaged on the 4th of July and we are looking for a reception hall that can fit approximately 220 people, but it needs to be a place where we can cater our own food. We do not have alot of money and can't afford any of the places we have seen. Can anyone steer me in the right direction?

I have, they have to cater the affair. They will not allow you to bring your own food.

Re: New Bride.... HELP!!
Sometimes a caterer can wind up costing more than the reception hall would charge since they have a lot of added expenses.
I'm guessing since you are on a budget, the wineries are out of the questions.
Perhaps call some local caterers, tell them your dilemna, and see if they can recommend some places to you where they have performed their service.
If you are having a wedding at a religious place (church/synagogue), most of these places have a room you can use for a party afterwards.
