Okay i have been on these boards just about a year and before that i was lurking for well over a year before that. I have a question that i bring up only because I notice things written on NWR (and other boards) seem to comment on things the new brides to be post on.
Do you all think there is a cycle of maybe jealousy some of the Newlyweds have towards girls planning there weddings? I got that vibe long ago when it was our turn and the older brides seemed to cause drama. Now i see comments on what other brides-to-be say or are planning and to me it all seems like some type of weird cycle.
Just an observation.

So what? Then dont be their best friends... maybe someone on NW board was mean and now they are scared. If I went to the South Bronx and got scared and came back and said I am scared to go back, I am staying on LI... that doesnt make sense?

i've ben reading all this and i kind of agree with the concensus. we get sooo many new brides that ask questions that some of us have answered over 100x times, but we have to take it in strde. its easy to jump on them and attack them for not knowing about invites or e-partys or whatever. but in my own personal experience, i'd rather take advise from someone's who has already been there, then a newbie like me. i skim through the nw board, but never really make comments simple b/c i am not a nw. but there are others that feel like just b/c they are getting married, they are entitled to put their 2 cents in on everything, from bhb to nw to parenting.
But I don't think that is a problem. I don't mind answering the same thing over and over again when I go on BHB. I don't think that is an issue. There are plenty of us who still goto BHB we can answer the questions there too.
i didn't mean that any nw should not answer questions on bhb, imo, they are the ones who know best. by no means, should nw stick to nw or nwr just b/c they are already married

I would be offended because a) I'm not a skank and b) you MAY be referring to my friends.
I cant speak for the people who said these things and caused these rifts and I can honestly say, I dont think I am one of those people. I am not scared to move to the NW board but I dont think I EVER posted on the NW board unless it was on that 'Anyone selling stuff?' thread.

BUT what was the issue about? Was it in any way discussing the 05 board or anyone on it? Then it becomes an open discussion, not restricted to the NW board.

AI'll tell ya this...when i called someone on something they said on the 05 board...I WAS TOLD by an 05GAL that i shouldn't have jumped the gun...i should have FM'ed the person and found out the intentions...
WELL interesting enough was when the roles were reversed...said 05 girl didn't follow her own advice rather pointed fingers and prepetuated the drama

Oh goodness you are SO missing the point! It was the nature in which that was written !!! 'I will let them know I exist' emphasized by the rolling eyes emoticon .. I mean it wasn't SUBTLE in the least, the implication was that going over to the NW board was a realllly difficult thing for this person to do! Had she just come over and said HELLO, I think she would have been welcomed with open arms like 99% of the newylweds typically are!
Honestly despite the rap we've gotten, there is NOTHING 'scary' about us!

Well as someone who was involved in something other than this issue... I tried to resolve things through FM so I didnt have to start drama and I was blocked, perhaps that was the same situation?

It was said after major drama was casued on the newlywed board. Lets say you and your friend have a big fight she comes to your wedding and says stupid things how'd u feel?

Go back to my party scenario... maybe she didnt want to say hello but being part of the LIW family... it was the 'proper' thing to do.
For the record, I have no idea why I am eyeball high in this situation... I was not that person nor have I discussed with her her reasons for saying that.
