New Last Name - Feelings?

Anyone have mixed feelings about taking on your new last name?!?

Super excited to be a new family with a new last name but a part of me is having withdrawal at the idea of being called by a new name....identity crisis?

i cant waittt.. i keep joking with my FH that he should change his, and when i write him notes/txts i write his initals with my last name. He laughs

I was excited to change my last name..it took awhile to get used to though.

i am dreading changing my name. i actually am not even fully changing it - i am hyphenating and i dont even want to do that!
I love my last name...people call me by it. i cant imagine losing that part of me.
plus i HATE fh's last name.

I FEEL THE SAME WAY! ughhhhh!!!

Eh not really. My last name is only changing by 3 letters so there isn't much of a difference.

I love my new last name!!!! It's easy to spell, easy to say and I go from 'R' in the alphabet to 'C'

I am legally changing my name but I am keeping my name for work purposes since I am already known in my field.

i'm still dealing with my new last name... 6months after the wedding!

haha... i've mostly changed all the legal stuff but i still have a few accounts left to change... and i'm secretly holding-off changing it just bec i want to hold on to my maiden last name!

I'm not too happy with changing my last name either. I LOVE!!!! my last name. Everyone compliments me on my last name. My FH's last name is boring. it doesn't have a nice ring to it like my last name. But FH wants me to take his last name. He says what's the point of us getting married and forming a family if we are not going to have the same last name. I'm trying to convince him to take my last name :)
