It seems that there have been a few post about children attending the wedding. So yet again I'll ask...children or no children.

ETS: FH's nephew is the only child attending wedding. He is the Junior Best Man. He's nine and VERY close with FH.

FH has 14 nieces & nephews and I have 2 of my own. Sitters wanted for my wedding!!!!!

So I am guessing you don't want children there!!! I'll baby sit for $75 per child!!!! LOL...Just kidding!!!

We don't have lots of kids in the family yet, so it wasn't really an issue for us.

FH was adament about his nephew. Other than that...we both agreed that we didn't want kids there. I just don't want some of my OOT cousins (and when I say OOT I mean Jersey ) not come because there kids aren't invited.

my Fh has 16 nieces and nephews. most are teens anyway, but they are the ONLY children invited. other than that everyone else needs to find a babysitter

you have to be 18 to be invited to the weddings because i have such a large family it would get out of control quickly the only children who will be there are my neices and theyre only staying through cocktail hour and our daughter

So far we discussed over 16 invited but FH wants to invite children that are 11 and 7.

my 3 little cousins and several of fh's cousins are invited...as they were to my sisters wedding...BUT my cousins_their parents) chose to not bring them...so we will probably not be having kids there

only one person in my family has had a non children event and people still are annoyed about it over 7 years later....I couldnt imagine not having kids at my wedding and not just family but the kids are inviting some of their friends .....etc........

I am inviting my son and my nieces and nephews and FH is inviting his children (ages 17-22) and his nieces and nephews.

The only children we are having are our ring bearer who is my MOH's son and he is going to be 3...
And of course our daughter who is my little flowergirl and she will be 2....
I couldnt imagine my wedding without her there... So 2 kids and thats it!!!

No children under 13 invited unless they are in the bridal party.

this is the rule i had in mind, i am hoping it stays like this lol...I LOVE children and wish we could invite them, but with the possibility of 20-30 kids under the age of 7 and also it costing us $90 a plate for alot of these kids for chicken fingers and fries its a bit hard.

I can't have so many children running around that day.. my RH said children under 4 will be free.. fine!
But then there are these 7 to 12 year olds that just run around and make things chaotic.. I've been so many weddigns were parents don't control their children, and they run into things and then get yelled at and throw a tantrum!!

There are certain kids that are so well behaved that I have no qualms about having them (though I prefer minimal children) but then there are others that make me want to rethink my status! Of course some parents assume that their entire brood is invited!!

Sorry guys, had to vent!!

WOW I have been seeing alot of posts like this one concerning children, for me no event would be complete without having kids there. I see alot of people have trouble with kids at a wedding

If they are family or close friends, you have to invite everyone.. otherwise just Mr & Mrs

When you HAVE to invite 300 to 400 people for your wedding, it's impossible to have everyone bring their children.. there will be a few.. as there should be!!

We are only having FH neices and my neices. We plan on having someone babysit them at the hall.

The wedding we went to last month, FH 9 month old neice yacked 3 times on FSIL so she sat in the bridal suite the entire time. Ruined her night. She rather not have them at our wedding (so they can enjoy the night) but they are in the BP.
