Newly engaged looking for help with venue search. Pppplllleeeeaaassee
Hey guys! I'm new to the forum. Newly engaged to my best friend and need tons of help with my venue search :( my fiancé and I are looking at a march or April Sunday 2013 wedding. Were flexible on dates and times. On a budget ( like most) but still looking for something beautiful and classy. Currently want to check out westbury manor, chateu briand, Venetian yacht club, crest hollow country club, and chateau la mer. If anyone as any prices for a Sunday wedding in 2013 or present I would greatly appreciate it. Fiancé works 65 hours a week just to help pay for our wedding :( so our time is very limited kinda doing a lot of the work myself so ANY help is greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance!! Xoxo

Hello, welcome and congratulations on your engagement. Have you looked into the Coral House I believe they're about seventy-five or eighty for a Saturday night. Also I got Westbury down to eighty-seven for a Saturday night in April

Thank u that helps sooo much!! Congrats on your engagement too. Fridays seem cheaper since I have to have it on a Sunday hopefully it's cheaper too. I'm going to check out a few places this week I'll keep u posted on what I find too. My friends brother is doing the Rivera next may on a Friday they got a quote for 100 people I believe For $75-80 dollars. It looked nice . Did u definitely choose a venue yet or are still looking? Chateu la mer in lindenhurst is on my top list I have an appt with them on Wednesday. ( fingers crossed)

Verdi's in westbury for some reason doesn't do it for me I'm most likely having the ceremony at the venue as well so I wanted a venue with a nice few, water view or nice garden etc...

sundays are even cheaper then fri and sats. i ended up going with fox hollow in the winter garden pavillion. we loved that the hotel was right next door. they give 7 dinner entree options where other places give like 3 or 4 (thats not a huge deal in the grand scheme of things though) and we just love the whole vibe there. when you walk into the place you love, ull just know its the place you want to get married lol

lol i know what you mean, its not terrible though but yea in terms of outdoor grounds, they have absolutely no ambience lol but the better the outside gets the more expensive it gets... :)

Very true! Fox hollow is beautiful! My brother got married there. Congrats on your chose! What was fox hollow giving u on price? U didn't happen to get a Sunday price there did u? Lol I know once I pick the place and have a set date it will be easier. I know dj wise and florist wise who I wanna use (got great deals from bridal expo I went too) but just the venue, which is the most important part is stressing me out, :(

Congrats!!!! I really like chateau la mer. I wasn't happy with the location to get married indoors in case it rains. I was worried to take the risk on the weather. I think if you get married at a church or found a place that you love the indoors and outdoors in case the weather doesn't hold up. I can't recall the quote I got but sunday day is cheapier anywhere. I definitely think you should check Cresthollow. I'm on a budget and a day wedding is reasonable. Good luck and happy planning!!!

FYI- Fridays and Sundays are usually cheaper than Saturdays and daytime weddings are cheaper than nighttime.
You should book soon for March/April. I'm already finding a lot of places are booked up for June 2013 already.
