What do you guys prefer? Night or Day weddings? I've only been to 1 day wedding. It was over by 5pm and then some of us headed over to the hotel and hung out @ the bar.
Night weddings are good, but I think by 11pm you lose a lot of your older guest.
I'm contemplating whether I want a night or day wedding, so I figured I would ask what you prefer.

Re: Night or Day?
I prefer night weddings..that is because I'm not much of a morning person.
ETA: People will come and have fun no matter what time the wedding is
My wedding ends at 11 so it is not too late.

Re: Night or Day?
11 is a good time, but I know some wedding can go until after 12. My gf got married last year and she extended it until and I was in her bridal party.
I was exhausted by 10pm and said goodnight by 11 just as her venetian hour was starting :(

I really like the elegance of an evening wedding not to mention the fact that you have tons of time beforehand to get ready. However, some venues are more beautiful during the day. We're having a sunday afternoon wedding bc my family is jewish and sat eve makes me lose tje water view of the venue :(

Re: Night or Day?
I like night weddings, but I chose an afternoon wedding so all of my guests could come out hassle free.
Do what works best for you. I plan to have an after party or something like it for anyone who wants to keep the party going.

Re: Night or Day?
I've never been to a day wedding so I guessed I'm a bit biased when I say night weddings, though I think it would depend on what day of the week it is. If it was a Sunday wedding I think I would prefer day, but again, I have never been to a Sunday wedding either.

Night 100% for few reason. I think its more of a party time, u have more time for pics and getting ready, guests don't have to get up so early on their day off. But that's jmo. I've been to both and like night better.

Re: Night or Day?
i'm more of a morning person so i do prefer day weddings... since i am exhausted by 10pm! lol!! that is just me though! we chose a day wedding b/c the difference in price was too much to pass up. I am hoping it will be nice so my CH will be in the garden!! either way you will have a great wedding no matter what!

I prefer night weddings but I think you should do what ever works best for you. Afternoon weddings can be less expensive. I've only been to 1 afternoon wedding but I guess I just prefer the feel of a night wedding.

I prefer night weddings. I think it is just a more party time if that makes sense hahah I have been to 1 day wedding and it was beautiful. After the party we all stayed at a hotel near the RH and hung out at the bar and stuff which was really nice it just makes the wedding more expensive for the guests who don't want the fun to end at 5pm because now you are paying for a hotel room to stay the night.

Re: Night or Day?
people have fun no matter what time the wedding is. day weddings are cheaper than nigh weddings. soif you really wanted to get married on a saturday, but can't afford it, a day wedding would be the way to go. i've never been to a day wedding. i'll be going to my first this october. my wedding is a night wedding, we wanted to go more formal.

Re: Night or Day?
I prefer night weddings. It is like a night out and that is what is great about it. If it is a Friday defintiely do night so that people can make it since they will be working. You can't go wrong with either though. JMO

I knew all along I wanted a day wedding. You have your day thing then just chill afterwards. My mother is usually passed out by 9pm and FH parents are usually out by 8pm so afternoon made more sense for us. Besides it gives you a chance to plan an after party!!!

Re: Night or Day?
NIGHT! I know when I've been invited to day weddings - I def let out a groan! 'Really? Now I have to go to be early so I can wake up at 9 to be ready by 11 and there by 12!' I am not a morning person at all. Same thing with Sun night weddings too. Fri or Sat night are the best - IMHO. But I will have fun either way.
