WOW -- didn't mean to start a whole controversy with my suggestion for TTC thread. I agree that a full tab might be overkill but this thread works just fine. My main thoughts for having it here is I'm comfortable talking with most of you and would most definitely welcome info/advice from the moms on this board. I've been on other sites but don't like the set up as much and feel more comfortable talking to woman I've been talking to along the way.

That being said: We are now starting our 3rd month TTC. I used OPKs this past month and got a positive result for ovulation but we still didn't get lucky. This month we're going to try to do the every other day method and see what happens. But I'll still use OPK to see when I ovulate. We're on vacation next week so that should help ease the stress!

I did well this weekend not getting depressed while shopping at Babies R Us for three upcoming baby showers. So I feel pretty good about that. Usually I've been getting depressed about all of my pregnant friends and I feel so stupid being jealous.

I used to work with a girl who couldn't get pg & she kept going to the dr to get inseminated. Every time she would have success from there,it would get stuck in her tubes and she would lose it. She decided to take a break and not think about it,and bam,she got pg naturally.So I think sometimes people worry too much about it and then when they don't even think about it,it happens.

Steff.. charting is a great tool. If you have normal cycles you should be able to figure out the day or 2 BEFORE you ovulate, as the day before is the best time to concieve.
Hang in there.. it could be next month or it could be next year.. but it will happen for you!

Sue, I know so many people that the same thing happened to! It really does end up to be mind over matter sometimes...other times, there might be something else, but that's why there are doctors, right?

I think it might be possible that the iui's worked.
I should of gotten my period yesterday but I want to wait to take a test becuase I think implantation didnt occur till 2 days ago( had a pinkish spotting that lasted just a few hours) in which case, it is possible there is not enough hcg to show up yet.

I just dont want to take a test and get false results and get myself all depressed OR to happy.
Maybe I'll try one tomorrow.. I see my doctor on wednesday.

sorry to barge in here, but can someone tell me what IUI means?

I'm guessing its in-utero implantation? (or did I make that up?) but what does that mean? How does it differ from In-vitro?
