Hi ladies, I'm starting to get very stressed w/ my bm situation. We ordered the first week of Feb. and were told the dresses would be in the 2nd week of May, here we are with 9 days to go & NO dresses yet.
I was told they were looking for a tracking number, but this was over a day ago. Apparently the dresses were shipped, but from where, how?
I have a preggo bm that ordered b4 she knew she was preggos (5 months ago!) & another girl that lost some weight after her baby. Also, some special alterations were supposed to be made to my MOH dress.
FH is starting to freak & 'wants to thandle' the situation.
I'm going to contact the store again first thing this am, but at this point, I'm thinking I may need a back-up plan.
I guess I'm looking to vent, but also see if anyone else has cut it THIS CLOSE!!!!!!

The dresses are now being rushed, but hoping to have them early next week..........
We're going to go tomorrow & get something off the rack either Ann Taylor or Lord & Taylor as a back-up
Can you say STRESS?!!!!!!!!!

Well the salon didn't say that, the manufacturer said that.
Trying to coordinate the rush shipping now.
But all the girls' dresses were paid in full

what salon is this (FM if you want)...I would expect this from a place like Davids Bridal but not a high end salon...its unacceptable!!!!! They should do free alterations or something....

Also why are you coordinating shipping with the manufacturer? Do you work at this salon..Isnt that there job!

SHAME SHAME SHAME on the bridal salon for not following thru. When they noticed the order wasnt in last month they should have stayed on top of it. There is no reason why they waited 9 days prior to your wedding to find out the order wasnt even in. What were the tracking if there wasnt even an order. I am so sorry you are dealing with this crap Cindy.

you should NOT be paying in full for these dresses. here's what you need to do:
1. make sure girls have someplace other than this shop to get their alterations done.
2. contact the store about what kind of discount you want the girls to get
3. if the shop does not agree, wait until the dresses come in and then have all your girls file a dispute with their credit card company for 'goods not received within specified time'. i'm hoping they all paid by credit card and held on to their contracts with delivery date on it
4. if all else fails, file a complaint with the bbb

OMG Cindy!!!! This is the first I've been online today and I just saw this. Is there anything I can do to help??? LIke threaten to sue or something?? Like after your final fitting when you have your dress in hand!

OMG CIN!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sitting here dumbfounded, my jaw actually dropped when I read this!!!!!!!! I simply cannot beleive it!!!!!!!
I am so, so, so very sorry for you and your BMs, this is NOT stress you need right now!!!!!!!! I'll be praying that they come in on time, this is just unacceptable service and my heart really goes out to you!!!!!

ETA: Of course, please let me know if there's anything you need. You know I'll always listen if you need an ear or a shoulder to lean on. I know it's really hard to focus, but remember no matter what the girls are wearing that day you WILL be marrying Ray.

Ditto. They can't ignore you if you're there. They have to help you. And make sure they know you'll make it well known to the rest of the women in the store how unhappy you are if they don't.

OMG Cindy!! I am so sorry this is happening to you. This is terrible. I can't understand how a salon can let this happen. I would definitely have a back up plan. Macy's has alot of dresses that you can buy right from the rack. Good Luck to you!!

I'm so sorry this is happening to you so close to your wedding. I had a similar issue where my junior bm's dresses were ordered in adult sizes and had to be reordered and rushed. We got back up dresses as well (at Macy's), but luckily didn't need them.
I'm not sure where you are getting your dresses from, but I looked at your pics in your profile, and you might want to look at David's Bridal. They have a line that you don't have to order, and there are some that look similar to your dress. Also, as someone else said, I was recently at Macy's and they had some nice dresses as well, and a lot of blue ones.

Oh jeez, Cin!! You don't need this kind of worry so close to your day! I will say though that alterations can be done within HOURS. It is amazing what they can do. Hang in there!!

Holy crap Cindy!!!
Go there in person and demand a tracking number and in the meantime get backup dresses.
If the dresses are not in by Monday (and let's face it, who can guarantee they can even alter in time) then demand a refund of all the girls dresses.
If you need any help with this, let me know!!! I make angry calls all day at work!!!
