Does everyone have a budget??? I'm just kind of going with the flow and booking and buying whatever I want.......anyone else doing this or does everyone have a defined budget????

we have an overall budget but nothing specific. I've just been booking whatever I want and its becoming very dangerous!! But i still shop around and bargain -- thanks to LIW

we know the amount of money we have to play around with, but ideally want to come in way under it, that way the remainder along with wedding gifts goes towards down payment on a house

I have a budget. I started with an overall budget and then broke it down for each item. If I go over in one I try to cut another down.
That's what we're doing, so that we don't end up in heavy debt.

We don't have a set budget but I tried my best to get the most value for our money. We both agreed that we don't want to spend the equivalent of a down payment on a house for one day. We are trying to keep the total costs down to a fairly reasonable amount - slightly more than a budget-priced wedding.

I have an approximate budget, bet we never really created a definitive one. I'm kind of going with the flow as well. Obviously, there are things that we couldn't afford even if we wanted to.

We don't have a budget. My parents are paying for the majority and we are paying for the small things so we go with the flow.

We don't really have a strict number but we have trying to allocate more money to the things we think are more important.
We did not cut corners on our venue, photography, music, rings and honeymoon. I don't really care as much about flowers which die, and transportation, so we looked for cheaper options for those things.
We are keeping track of how much we spend and it's adding up, but we refuse to go into debt for one day.
