FH and I had a talk last night and he was feaking out over how much we're spending for 1 day. we're trying to save for a house, and in his opinion, every dollar we spend on this wedding is taking away from our future.
I guess he has a point. But I am still sad.... no videographer, ketubah or extras for me.

there are a lot of ways to cut back without losing the videographer. think of what you can cut and maybe you can add the videographer

I definitely think you should have a friend or a lower cost person video your wedding. I have read countless threads of brides posting they regret not getting a video.

that sux...that money won't make a dent in the house budget...it's really penny wise/pound foolish..
i completely agree. And like Kimberlybride said- i totally regret not getting a video (actually, we had a friend capture alot on camcorder, but i havent seen it yet)....
in any case, saving a few hundred dollars on those things arent going to buy you a house. Granted, you dont need to spend on foolish things either, but if certain things (like a videographer/ ketubah) are important, then you should get them- there are economical alternatives everywhere you look, and i know its hard to save for a house, but a few hundred $$$ cant even buy you a door these days, never mind a house.

Although he is 100% right.......... you's just might regret it one day when you are all cozy one night in your new house. You might be wishing you can watch the tape on your one year anniversary and on your 50th as well.
He does have a point. Everything that we are doing is all for one night! He is looking into your future..................
