Bridetobe just got married there last weekend. I think she is on her honeymoon now. She said she will post when she returns. Her short review was that the place was fabulous! Everyone who has been there seems to always say the same thing!edited bc I am stupid and spelled seems wrong!

Re: NORTH RITZ CLUB REVIEWS
I am also getting married at the North Ritz Club in July. I hear nothing but great reviews about the place. My sister went to a wedding there and said everything was fabulous! The food was great, and service was excellent. She said that everyone was raving about the place. Everyone appeared to be very professional and attentive. A friend of mine also attended a wedding at the Ritz and she also said everything was excellent. I can't wait 8 and a half months until my wedding!!! Good Luck!

Re: NORTH RITZ CLUB REVIEWS
I was at a wedding there recently, and I'm sorry to say that we were all pretty disappointed in the food. It was very salty, and not all that tasty. Maybe they were having an off night, or because of the amount of people there were. . . .but I know our whole table hardly touched their dinner. The place itself is gorgeous though.

Re: NORTH RITZ CLUB REVIEWS
Vickic- I am sorry you did not have a good experience there. but I must say that my sister and her husdband who went to a wedding there also are very picky eaters. My brother in law is a chef in Manhattan and he absolutely loved the food at the North Ritz Club. He was eager to try their food because he has heard a lot of great things about their food, being that he is a chef he would know. He went there before we booked it so we trusted his input. My brother-in-law said that the food was so delicious and fresh which is not typical of catering food. My friend also recently went to a wedding there and she also loved the food. She actually would not stop raving about the food at the Ritz. She to is looking to have her wedding at th NRC in 2004. We heard nothing but great things about the NRC. and there food

Re: NORTH RITZ CLUB REVIEWS
I too was very surprised since all I ever heard about the place was great things. Like I said, maybe it was an off night, or the style of wedding. Since it was buffet style, it may have been harder to cook for so many people.

Re: NORTH RITZ CLUB REVIEWS
bridetobe is back and can say nothing but great things about NRC!!!!!! I will post my full review this week and include pictures. I think I am one of the first LIW brides to get married there so I know a lot of people are waiting on my review. The word most peole used was elegant. The place was elegant, the food was great (from what I heard because I didn't eat too much ...but I ate my entire sea bass with mango papaya salsa and it was wonderful), and the service was fine! I have been on my honeymoon so haven't talked to too many people but I will ask around and ask more people what the thought of the food!
I have some pictures of NRC that I took with my digital camera during the planning phases..nothing great but some ok shots. Send me forum mail with you email address if you want me to email them to you.
Have you looked at this site...

Re: NORTH RITZ CLUB REVIEWS
Funny...We sent to look at North Ritz and and had never heard of it. We liked it..the grounds, although someehat small were very pretty. The cocktail room was just big enough with plenty of room to spread stations. The ballroom was very nice. We liked the bar!!! The only thing we didn;t like was the chapel. We are getting married at the reception site and wanted something different. This was just a large room and was located downstairs. The price seemed to compare with other places we were looking at too. Good luck!

Re: NORTH RITZ CLUB REVIEWS
I hate to say it (since we never want to hear anything bad about a place we've booked) but I have to agree with Vicki C . . I went to a wedding there at the beginning of October and the food wasn't that great. . .I was shocked since i had heard great things about it. . .it was buffet style and it had to be a wedding of 200 people . . .It was pretty chaotic and the lines were very long and the food was cold by the time we got back to the table. If you are having a buffet. . have the DJ call 3 or 4 tables at atime and explain that people can hop from station to station and do not have to make one continuous long line (I think this was the biggest problem and that all the tables were called at once). . .On the bright side everyone had a fantastic time and the place is beautiful.
