Not a 'Day of' coordinator but...

Not a 'Day of' coordinator but...

I don't think we need a 'Day of' coordinator besides they are pretty pricey. What I was wondering is there such a thing a reception set up service. I am looking for someone to put the favors on the table, display my wedding picture collage, seating chart exactly how I want it....etc.... Schlep them to the reception the morning of, and come back and take them home after the reception and store them until after the honeymoon. I really don't want to ask a relative to do it because it's like I'm giving them a job and they are supposed to just be a guest at the party.

Does such a thing exist?...

Its weird because this is something I wouldn't mind doing as a side job....not being a full wedding coordinator but more like a bridal go-fer. What do you think?

The banquet manager/bridal attendent does/coordinates most of this, with the exception of getting stuff to the hall and bringing it home...

I think Marlene of Wonderful Weddings may help you. She has packages starting at 400.00

www.wonderweddings.com (I think if not do a search).

Good luck.

I agree with Misty. Also, sometimes a hall will let you bring things in a bit early, like a few days before, and its their job to set it up.

And you have have one relative in charge of collecting things after the reception...

My daughter has a friend who she would love to have in the wedding party but just has too many girls as it is. She wants to ask her to be her assistant and have her join us with all the fun activities like church rehearsal and dinner, the morning at our house, etc. She'll ask her to check that all the girls have their things when they leave our home, take the emergency kit and programs to church, be sure the favors are put on the tables properly, etc. She'll thank her in her program and give her a gift with the other girls. She is positive she will consider it the honor it is intented to be, and not a job.
Maybe this can work for you as well.
