Not happy

I think my shower is this weekend and I have a feeling that I'm going to be very disappointed. I don't know half of the women my mom invited. I don't have a dress to wear yet. And to top it all off, not much has moved from my registry. There is still tons of stuff there, especially my bedding, which I was really looking forward to getting.

I know it's not all about the gifts, but I really don't know these ladies. I would be so much happier with a shower of 25 women I know and care about instead of almost 100 and half of them strangers.

Is there a way to get out of going to your own shower?

Thanks so much everyone. It's not been a good day. I got a horrible parent e-mail that I finally just finished dealing with. I had to see the principal about it because she CCed him in the e-mail.

If it's not wedding stuff, it's work stuff. If it's not work, it's grad school.

I wish I didn't have class tonight. I would like nothing more than to go home and sleep. I can't skip either because I'm giving a presentation.

As far as what kind of dress I'm looking for, I love 50s vintage style dresses. I ordered something originally from vintageclothing.com, but it looked awful on me. I've looked in Macy's and Target, but I haven't found anything I liked or that doesn't make me look fat or that doesn't cover my back tattoos.

I should just show up in sweat pants.

Try to think positive. The shower is all about you and celebrating to set you & fh up with the goodies you'll need. Pick out your favorite outfit and smile. You'll have a great time.

i m sure your bp and mom has worked extremely hard to put together for your shower

How do know it's this weekend.
How do you know who was invited
And don't be worried about your registry, most people don't buy stuff off it until that weekend. And who knows if they have something else planned. Since you don't know for sure what is going on, don't set your self up for disappointment. Just focus on other things, maybe wedding things you still need to do and try not to think about this weekend and the party, who knows you could be totally wrong.. I'm sure whatever happens will be perfect and you will be extremely happy

Just remember all happy times a head!!!!
