Not to offend anyone, but...

... is this ridiculous or what? After watching Lindsay's beautiful preview on AJ's blog, I started viewing others because I love his work. I clicked on this Sweet 16 video that just so happened to take place in the same room that my reception will be at Jericho Terrace.

It was a beautiful party, butttttttttt REALLY?!?!?! It looks like a wedding!!! From her white gown, to the tiara, and the way she enters the room with her boyfriend.. I just can't.

OMG can you imagine what her wedding is going to look like?? I had a big sweet 16 but i didnt do the whole photoshoot thing and my cake wasnt a hugeee wedding cake

but it looks like a lot of fun.. i think there alot bigger then they used to be.

My sweet 16 was at a Knights of Columbus.

I saw that and was a little taken back by the extremes that people go to for their daughters sweet sixteens (i also saw a video like this on another videographers site) from the white dress, friends wearing what looks to me as BM dresses, parent dances, etc.. It just seems to me as if your rushing your child through life a little too quickly, either that or you love the 'show' of it all.

OMG can you imagine what her wedding is going to look like?? I had a big sweet 16 but i didnt do the whole photoshoot thing and my cake wasnt a hugeee wedding cake

That is the first thing I said... 'what is her wedding going to be like?!?!?'

I do know that Sweet 16's are crazy now, but it still just blows my mind. I was never big into them so maybe that is part of the reason. However, I didn't even want my engagement party to feel like a wedding. I certainly wouldn't want my Sweet 16 to!

Either way, the party did loook BEAUTIFULLLL and I love any chance I get to see my room in action.

HAHA! I didn't want one( I opted for a car instead- and notttttt a new one either). However, my sister had hers at a hall similar to Knights of Columbus! Did the job just fine!

Your room is GORGEOUS! I went to a Jt showcase the other night with one of my BM's who is getting married there. I walked into that room and my jaw dropped. Beautiful!!

her parents probably spent more on her sweet 16 that we did for our wedding. that's excessive... her dress was a wedding dress!

OMG crazy! I went to a Sweet 16 in HS that was like this, and to be honest, no one had fun!

Mine was just a brunch at a restaurant in a nearby Holiday Inn!

My friend had a sweet sixteen last year in Jericho Terrace in the room. Matter of fact she was the first person to launch this room. Her parents spend a fortune on her party. It was pretty insane
