... is this ridiculous or what? After watching Lindsay's beautiful preview on AJ's blog, I started viewing others because I love his work. I clicked on this Sweet 16 video that just so happened to take place in the same room that my reception will be at Jericho Terrace.
It was a beautiful party, butttttttttt REALLY?!?!?! It looks like a wedding!!! From her white gown, to the tiara, and the way she enters the room with her boyfriend.. I just can't.

that is my coworkers first cousin, shes in the video
and shes not spoiled , her family just throws elaborate parties.
I'm sure that anyone that has a party like this is somewhat spoiled. Whether SHE is a spoiled 'brat'.. I can't say because I don't know her.
As I stated in previous posts, the reason I posted this video is because her sweet 16 had everyyyy characteristic of a wedding minus the ceremony, not because she had an elaborate party- and I think it is ridiculous.

It's def. over the top but my sister and I both had parties like this. My dad never really had parties when he was younger so when it came to his kids, he wanted to go all out for us.

ok so i just watched the video again, and i have to say the girls all looked like they were havin a great time. And the second video i watched (the catherine one) she looked beautiful and at first i was like this is nuts, but then i saw her with her grandfather and he looked so amazingly happy.
think about how many of us always wished we had our grandparents here with us at our wedding day, think about it, at least he got to see her all dressed up, center of attention in a beautiful dress...
guess when it comes down to it, its not that bad of an idea
(although i STILLLL think all these over the top parties are too much)
Of course they are having a great time!!! Look at the party!!!!! Would her grandfather have had a great time if she wasn't wearing a white dress and her family didn't spend tonssssssss of money? Yah I'm sure her grandfather would have still enjoyed himself.
my whole point was that the family looked so proud of her. Who are we to judge how much money people spend on parties, if im not mistaken MOST of us are easily over 25K for our weddings ( and yes i KNOW its a wedding but whats important to one may not be important to another)
