I dont mind when BRIDES replicate something for their own purposes but when a company is turning a profit on my work, I think its unethical.

Martha Stewart sells magazines full of concepts and is being paid to have 'her' ideas utilized by others. I am sharing to save other brides work, not to have someone take my ideas, directions, layouts etc and then make money off of it.

I don't want to start a whole debate on this topic but I will say I'm going to agree to REALLY disagree with you on this. Sorry you feel that way but ideas are shared and meant to be borrowed. I am a bride who was inspired by the idea and seeked help in doing so. She did nothing unethical. She helped a bride realize what she wanted. Be it from an idea I got from you or someone else. I would hate to see LA Productions get a bad rap for soemthing I could have just kept to myself. In sharing, I felt I was helping brides that are NOT able to do it for themselves.

I truly believe that if you (or other past and future brides) don't want other brides to use, replicate or seek help in duplicating your ideas then they shouldn't be posted

I think the programs are gorgeous!!! Made them yourself or paid somebody to get them done the way you wanted, either way doesn't really matter. It's what you wanted and your happy with the end results. Love them!!

Curly - I am not upset with YOU at all. Im very happy that you are pleased and flattered that you liked my design.

I wont go further into the debate about LA Productions except to agree to disagree.

I'm so glad Laura was able to do them for you.

Stef/Curly - Just want to put my 2 cents in. I know that Curly, asked Laura if she could make those programs for her. And Laura happily did. Any Custom Invitation company will make whatever the customer wants if they show her a picture. That's exactly what happenned her. Noone tried to take credit for your original design. Laura did absolutely nothing wrong. I think it's great that she is flexible and can please her customers.

K, I love them!!! They look beautiful and match so well w. your invites. I liked that you used the engagement pics on the cover as well, I was wondering what to do w. ours so now I have an idea. Love them, they came out great! Thanks for the reminder that I have to get my as* moving on my programs too

Honestly I think Stef is right. LA Productions should have spoken to her first. This is EXACTLY what Stef did. I didn't know Stef would have to trademark each of her designs so that a COMPANY would not copy them. Stef works really hard on this stuff and shares it with us BUT that doesn't mean someone should profit off her designs.

michele, LA Productions, did not come up with the thought of making the program w/that design. Curly SHOWED her a picture and ASKED her to make it for her.
Why on earth do you think that is WRONG? Most likely LAProductions does not know who made the original.
If someone gives a vendor a pic and asked them to make it for them, should they NOT get paid for their work?
LA Productions is NOT trying to act like it's their design. Why make something innocent turn ugly

You should make a PATEN so no one can make a profit off of your ideas and if they do you can sue them..

I try and not give my opinions on things like this but as I was reading this I can understand why Stef feels this way but in all honesty when you create something and put it out there for thee world to see it is up for grabs. If a program of yours was left at your church and someone came along and saw it and they decided to use it and ask a company to create something like it for them. Would it be that company’s responsibility to contact you and ask permission? No way. Styles are replicated all the time. JMO

Curly – they came out beautiful.
