Exactly! I was talking to FH about this and I said we are busting our buts working full time all just to NOT even be able to make ends meet. It would be different if I was living in luxury! I think I have to get out of LI

Yup! I think so too. The cost of living here is way too much as to where you do have to bust your butt to just make ends meet. I think it is easier if you were to move out of a major city. We plan to move upstate where houses are A LOT more affordable.

But you're right. If we had money to begin with, it would be a lot more easier to enjoy life!

I know how you feel. I'm an accountant and I work lots of hours too. . .my first year out of college I felt the same way, but now I try and focus on a hobby that makes me happy or budgeting my free time a little better to make the most of it.

It will get better

thats why i always tell FH we should open up a business in the future. Especially when we have kids ya know. Although he gets out at 2-3pm so hes lucky, if he gets out at 4-5 pm he gets all annoyed lol.

I completely understand, FH and I talk about this almost everyday!! How everyday is the same routine, get up nice and early go to work sometimes 12+hrs a day (each) and then the weekends come and we can do much b/c we have no money to do anything! everyday is the same and I dont know when it will ever change..it is very depressing

Yea I have to stay in NY (assuming I passed the bar LOL) because I don't want to take the exam again in another state so FH and I were thinking of upstate also. Where were you looking? We both went to Albany and there were a lot of nice and AFFORDABLE suburbs around there where our quality of life would be so much better.

At least I'm not the only one! Maybe it's because I just started working full time but this schedule is terrible

Just up to Orange County or Ulster County. Not too far from the city, but enough where the prices of houses drops dramatically. We were looking at newly build houses up there with 4 br and 2-3 Ba and they are about 320,000

Oh wow that sounds amazing! FH was talking about Orange County but I have never been there. I will definitely have to check it out Is it civilized over there? We were looking at NC last year to move after I finished school but we went there and it was too much of a culture shock for us so we decided to stay in NY.

That is what I used to do too!!! Once I started getting up at a decent time, getting out of my pjs before noon (Or on sundays at ALL), I felt SO much better - I'm serious. It might be hard to make yourself get moving those first few weeks, but you should really try.

Yea exactly! This is what upsets me the most- when I think about having kids. Im so tired now when I get home I can't even imagine having to cook dinner, give them a bath, or have any energy to play with them.

i know exactly, and then when you get any time to yourself you'll be so exhausted you'll probably pass out.

Haha I know. And to be able to afford only working part time or something along those lines there is no way we can afford to stay on LI. I love it here but it just isn't feasible if I want to be able to enjoy life at all!

yeah FH and i wake up we'll relax for a bit but by noon we like to be out of the house. We go shopping, eat brunch, or whatever it is, we always find activities and i love it and look forward to our saturday routine. One time we were lazy and stayed in and around 2pm we were going crazy and had to get out of the house
