My sentiments exactly! LaToya should have been in the top two, no doubt about it.. she was my favorite!!!
Fantasia and Diana are two vastly different types of singers, much like Ruben and Clay from last year.
A person who would buy one's of their albums would probably not buy the others .. which is why it is very hard to compare the two as vocalists, because they appeal to different musical styles and tastes.
Its going to be close ...

I think Fantasia is a better singer and performer. When she sings you feel the emotion and energy.
Diana, can belt out the notes but her range isn't all that great. It always sounds like she is shouting. When she sings more mellow songs she gets pitchy.
ETA: Although I think Fantasia should win, i think Diana will win. People are hatin' on Fantasia bc the judges were praising her so much last night. Some people obviously don't know what good singing is bc look what happened to LaToya and Jennifer.
I couldn't have said it better!! Especially with Jennifer..and the fact that the judges so loved fantasia..

is it just me or does Diana make you wish that Cherie O'Teri were back on Saturday Night Live? Granted, the girl is only 16 - but that hyper giggly cheerleading thing is so annoying.
She does have a great voice though.

I love Fantasia.. she has more of a stage presence and knows how to capitvate the audience.. she is a true performer!

Based on last night's performance, I think Fantasia should win. While I like Diana's sweet, clear voice better - she seemed to be yelling a lot, was off key a number of times (one time was very bad), and she does not seem to have as much control or variety in her singing. I'm not crazy about Fantasia's raspy voice, but she has a a great deal of control over her voice and can sing well in a wider range of notes and volume. Latoya was my favorite by far - I think she blows both Diana and Fantasia away.

I personally like Diana muchh more than Fantasia. I have always like Diana and thought she didnt get enough credit for her talent, the girl can sing. maybe i give her MORE credit because she is so talented for such a young girl. In the beginning i really liked fantasia and her personality, but over time I think she got pretty 'cocky', and when she was laughing at being in the bottom 3 a few weeks ago (although amazing she was) it was just a strange way to act. The first time she sang that summertime song and cried... it was awesome... but now she cries a little too much! I think diana will get better as far as control goes, with time/training/ and experience. Fantasia definitely has stage presence and can work a crowd!Either way it shouldve been latoya IMO, she was amazingggg. anyway Fh is thrilled the season is over hahahaha, good luck to them both!
