yes.. go to a REAL MD not a chiropractor! first go see ur primary care doc and request for an MRI... then from there u can go see a specialist.

Yes I have two herniated disks and three bulging disks in my lower back.

I actually fractured two vertebrae when I was younger, then got the herniated discs around 20 yrs old from god only knows.

Ive done physical therapy a bunch of times, had MRI's, bone scans, xrays, nerve tests, epidural injections, etc.

My dr wanted to operate but I didnt feel like I needed it so I just live with the pain. I have heard from a bunch of people who have had back surgery and they are more miserable now than before the surgery so I opted no to surgery. I mean it bothers me and there are days I have a hard time getting out of bed, but I just try to work out and keep my core muscles tight so I am not in alot of pain. Its been working for me so far.

My suggestion would be to go to a spine specialist. When I was younger and fractured my back, my mom told me it was 'growing pains' and I would be fine. My pediatrician told me it was scoliosis, and the spine specialist was the one who told me I had the fractures. I am very lucky I listened to my body and told my pediatrician since they referred me to the specialist. Had I let it go longer and my vertebrae broke even more, it could have severed my spinal cord.
