NWR: Anyone know a Lawyer that does PRO BONO work?

hi ladies

it's not for ME! it's for my very good friend. She's been through ALOt with a divorce... she just makes ends meet for her and her daughter... works full time and is finishing her college degree FULL TIME!!! plus being a mom... it's rough!

She needs a lawyer for issues with custody, as well as alamony, child support, etc. and she had tried contacting all of the agencies that say they offer pro bono.. and then they say she MAKES TOO MUCH MONEY to qualify (somehow $14/hr is considered tooo much when you are supporting 2 people)

She doesn't have ANY MONEY to pay for a lawyer... we are all trying to help her find one... she lives in suffolk county but could commute into nassau to meet with someone... does anyone have any advice for her?????

thanks!

Not sure but your friend might want to call Nassau Suffolk Law Services. They might know of someone.
