NWR - Are you more a city or country girl?

NWR - Are you more a city or country girl?

i just got back from my long weekend in vermont. My FH is a country boy & hates NY. mostly because of the hustle & bustle and its soooo expensive.

anyway, he kept hinting about moving to vermont. maybe not now but in the future..everything is such a long drive. you need a car for everything. the nearest super market is about 20 minutes away. no night life whats so ever... i was so ready to come home.. there isn't a whole lot to do. we went with some friends on their boat on the lake, but i am sure that gets played out after awhile.

the average cost of the house in vermont is about $195K and taxes are about $1,500... can you imagine that!! the houses are pretty nice too !

just wondering who likes the city life over the country

I could NEVER do country life, I looove the city! .. FH lived in the coutry for a good part of his life so I think he would do either way ... but we both are defiantly beach people!

City all the way. I dont even like the beach that much, am not a nature person lol. I like getting away once in a while though, i like going to FH's house in the poconos but more than a weekend i cant do...I get creeped out when its so quiet lol, i cant even go out in front of the house by myself there at night lol.

Honestly even LI is different for me. I grew up in Queens and always took public transportation and everything was within walking distance to me and the streets were lively, my block was always quiet but walking a few blocks up there was everything.

I know houses are cheaper in other places but if i move its not just the house i would have but the whole lifestyle and everything around me. Its more money in NYC but also paying for everything else around, thats the way I see it.
