How do you chance a .bmp or .art to .jpeg or .gif?

You should be able to do a 'Save As'.
Otherwise right click on the file and then say 'Open With' and then pick your photo editing program, an then do a save as.

When you save the image, below where you would name the file there is a drop down for you to change the file type - it would be populated with whatever format it is in now however...just change it to whatever you want. gif, jpeg etc.
