NWR: Deer Park Area??

NWR: Deer Park Area??

Hey ladies,

FH and I are looking for a new house and we found a brand new colonial for an amazing price for what you're getting. We're just trying to find out the area. I used to hangout in Deer Park when I was younger on 231. The house is actually 5 mins from 231 on a nice quiet one way street with all brand new or semi new houses. I love how it's close to DPA but not too close. Does anyone know how the area is? Is it safe, clean, good?? How are the schools....a few people told us they were not good. But the way we look at it is that we wont have to put a child in kindergarten for another 7-10 years so a lot could happen in that time. Also, we dont need an excellent school just something decent and mediocre...just nothing with gangs and drugs and stuff. Any help is GREATLY appreciated!!!!!

Hey I actually live in the Deer Park North Babylon area. The schools are actually pretty good, I know the high school offers electives and such...where exactly are you looking?

you need to find out which schools the house is in - my sister and parents live in dix hills (where i grew up) and there are deer park houses that go to half hollow schools
i would say that the schools in deer park are mediocre - there are much better ones on LI and much worse!

I grew up in Deer Park and went through the school system. They were middle of the road, pretty good when we went, but that was 10 years ago. I heard they have gone down a little, but are still an average school district...not terrible. FM me with any questions on the area!

Deer Park is a decent school district...

What area of DP is it?? Some parts border other towns and not-so-nice areas...
