NWR do you think it is rude???? UPDATE

that my fsil every year sends out an email with a christmas list for her kids??
I DIDN't ASK for it!!!
that bothers me because fmil sends fh the exact item, store, location in the store and price of the gift she wants

I AM SORRY BUT THE APPLE DOESN'T FALL FAR FROM THE TREE!!!!

THEY ARE ALL NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Update:

So I had to tell fh how i feel about this whole thing of course he got defensive when i said it was tacky so now he is mad at me! TOO BAD
if she wants to send out an email like this KEEP ME OFF!! they are way too materialistic for me!!!
SO......................................... I open my email and this is what i get from him

Here are some X-mas ideas for me this year:

1) Moustache Grooming Kit (That I'll be growing back)

2) Book: ' How to silence a righteous Lady' By Author... Kan U. Shudit!

3) Muzzle (For a Size XXXS Head)

4) Porn

WHAT AN ***!!!!

I hate that!!
and i hate when people say i bought this for myself but you can give me the money and give it to me for xmas

Its nice to have an IDEA of what they like but not an exact list - that takes the fun out of it!

Re: NWR do you think it is rude????

maybe i am misunderstanding this, but i don't think it's rude in the case of the kids. i literally beg my sisters to send out a wish list or something of what we can get their kids... there are so many and i have not a clue as far as what toys are in right now etc.

in the case of fmil.... well, if she does that, i think that's just BIZARRE

Re: NWR do you think it is rude????

I think it is efficient for fsil to do that, however, it is kind of presumptuous to send it to someone who didn't ask for it.

Does FH maybe ask his mother for that info? Some people hate to shop and would gladly buy exactly what someone else wanted. My ex in-laws used exchange gift cards with each other.

To each his own..

LOL i read that and thought it was rude

BUT fh gives his mom and his aunt a list of what he wants lol but thats also bc they ask him, i even remember for his brothers birthday his mom said to look through this catalog of a store he shops at and to pick what he wants so i guess it depends. Does he send them a list is it just a thing his family does?

Re: NWR do you think it is rude????

get this:

Hello all...........I just thought I'd put this list together for people who might like ideas for James and Benjamin for Christmas. Here are some things that I think they would like:

James:
Accessories for his bicycle - he wanted a handlebar bag (that would hold a water bottle) a bell, and streamers
A robot
A plastic raincoat with pictures on it - size 5/6
Disney classics DVD's
Razor scooter - this is a two wheeled scooter
Abacus
Piano keyboard

***Please nothing with lots of little pieces because of Benjamin possibly choking on them

Benjamin:

Sound machine for his room
Small CD player - to play music in his room
Gift card for clothing store
Fleece and warm winter clothing

Thanks - I hope this helps!!!!!!!

yeah that's weird. I know in my family this year we asked each other for some ideas but when you don't ask that's rude!

i agree. especially with kids, i have no desire to try to figure out what they want; i'd rather my sisters just tell me. with fmil, it's a little different... but she would never do that.

i guess for the kids it's a little different, kids can be hard to shop for. but you fmil, i still think it's greedy

I know but even with little kids.. i hate when kids get EVERYTHING they want..then they just expect it and as they get older they get greedy hahaa

I think it's rude for her send it. I am not against anyone making a list because it makes it easier on the shopper. I tell my family and FH to make a list, but I'm asking them. No way would I make a list and just give it to people!
