NWR do you think it is rude???? UPDATE

that my fsil every year sends out an email with a christmas list for her kids??
I DIDN't ASK for it!!!
that bothers me because fmil sends fh the exact item, store, location in the store and price of the gift she wants

I AM SORRY BUT THE APPLE DOESN'T FALL FAR FROM THE TREE!!!!


THEY ARE ALL NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Update:

So I had to tell fh how i feel about this whole thing of course he got defensive when i said it was tacky so now he is mad at me! TOO BAD
if she wants to send out an email like this KEEP ME OFF!! they are way too materialistic for me!!!

i appear to be in the minority here, but i dont think there is anything wrong with it...i mean i dont think that I would do it, but i wouldnt be mad if someone else sent it to me, i mean if you are going to be their future aunt i would assume you would be getting them gifts, and why get them something that they dont like want or need??? JMO

i posted something similar; i agree with you. I mean, it's your FSIL so she is including you b/c she considers you an aunt... just like my sisters send me what their kid want b/c i beg them too... so i'd actually be happy to be included. I don't think she's being rude or presumptious; just trying to make it easier on people who have probably asked her for a list, and she's including you as their future aunt

i agree and i love that my sister always tells me to get my nephews one of their top picks because they think i get them THE BEST presents!!! LOL
usually my sister buys them; does all the shopping and i give her the $$

yeah it gets really hard with kids. i have six nieces/nephews so if they didn't make a list i'd be clueless - not like i know what is cool and hip with the 8 year olds

Whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. OMG!! I can see why they sent you a list...i like getting a list for my niece and nephews so i dont buy them something they already have BUT my sister in law gave us a list for her daughters birthday in october which was great but i recently asked her what to get the kids for christmas to which my sister in law replied, 'no toys!! everyone got her toys for her birthday and she just has too many!!!' shes the one who gave us the friggin list!!!!!!!!

I agree with you I think it is rude but that is just my opinion I know for sure I wouldnt do that to people but some people are different- it is so annoying

if you asked for suggestions on what to get as a gift than sending an email with a list is fine - but if you dont ask for any suggestions than i think its tacky....

at least your when FH is mad he still has his sense of humour!
