NWR: Does anybody know if barbie dolls from 1966 are worth money?

I'm cleaning out my closets and I found old barbie dolls from a family member and I was wondering if they are worth$. They are used and in good condition, but are not in packaging. I tried to check online, but it wasn't' too clear. Thanks ladies.

Hi Joyce! You know what I do when I want to see if something is worth money? I go to eBay first and see if they have a listing for it. Then I check out the pricing. I also go to Google bc google lists the websites in order of how pertinent the information is to the question. So you know the first link is the best and page 3 is not so good.

They must be worth something, even out of the box. ( I mean really who doesn't takeBarbie out of her box and play make believe and dream of their wedding

you can sell anything on ebay! my fh has been selling his old toys from the 70s and 80s and has made tons! good luck

I think there are also reference books in the library that get updated periodically (possibly annually?) that discuss recent sales comparables on antiques. I'm afraid I don't know the name off the top of my head.

You could also take it to an antique toy dealer and get his or her opinion. Although beware if that person makes an offer after telling you the value!

No clue..but it'd be nice to know they're worth something! My mother has many from when she was young still in the box and she also bought me many from back in the day and didn't let me take em out of the box!

I'd do some ebay research, but a few months ago, i saw a book at my library that was just on the value of barbie dolls. it had a list of every one that was ever put out. But I would bet that it is worth something! GL!

You can sell them on ebay, but not for very much. Out of the packaging they arent worth very much money (by not very much, I mean under $40) but if they were in their original packaging and never used they'd be worth a pretty penny
