So since FH & I are buying a home, I know he wants a dog more than anything, so I thought for his birthday I would surprise him. Therefore, I need to start looking into breeders.
Here's my question, we both wanted a big dog like a yellow lab, but I'm thinking since we are buying a small home with a small backyard, I think a medium size dog would be better. Can you suggest some breeds?? FH hates small dogs so something about 50-70 pounds would be ideal.

Re: NWR: Dog Suggestions
What about a Tibetan Terrier or a Wheaten Terrier. My neighbor has a Wheaten and it is the sweetest dog and my FH had one. The males get to be about 30 pounds.
Woops the dog a little smaller than you wanted, but here is a pic anyway
