NWR: Hug all those whom you love!!!!

I just wanted to take a moment to remind everyone how fragil life is. For those of you who dont know I'm a medical student who is about to graduate. I'm currently on the Trauma service and have seen some awful things in the last couple of days. Without going into too many details, we have admitted firefighters, teenagers, children, and the elderly. Some have made it and others have not. What they all have in common is that they were all going about their day as usual without knowing that their lives and those of thier families was about to be changed forever. I guess it just really hit home to see people my age and younger who had their lives taken so suddenly. So anyway, point is, I know we're all busy and stressed about life's obstacles, but please take a moment to take in all the wonderful things that life offers. And never miss a moment to tell those around you how much they mean to you. Life truly is fragile.

I understand how you feel. Being in EMS I have seen alot. Especially the last 2 weeks with my own family member that I had to treat.

But its true..sometimes we wake up in the morning and take things for granted..we must live everyday as if its our last...and cherish the ones we love, even if we are fighting..must always remind them that we love them

I couldn't agree more. I have to get out of the habit of holding grudges.Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr( not sure if it's the Italian or German in me). I'm making a promise to myself to be more patient with others. But hugs and love, I give that EVERYDAY ALL DAY!!!!!!!!!
