I need help from the 08 girls. Can anyone suggest a lounge in NY that serves food, has good music and isn't too expensive? Thanks!

Re: NWR Need NYC Lounge Suggestions
I haven't been here but I know it's loungy and serves food. I copied the description from Sheckys
Mannahatta: Mannahatta feels a little downtown and a little Midtown, but all and all, gets things right. A light tapas menu, afternoon hours, sugary specialty cocktails, and after-work specials say “after-work crowd.” Its downtown Bowery location and non-corporate sleekness works for a crowd that may do the 9-5, but knows Dave Matthews *****. Sidewalk seating fills up fast in the summer, but since Mannahatta’s big doors and windows open wide to the outside world, everyone in the airy new-agey-feeling main lounge feels summer’s love too. Hover by the long bar or grab one of the cushiony, low-slung sofas and wait for attractive servers to do their thing. Sunshine bores the daylights out of you? The late-night scene downstairs is completely clubby and the velvet rope is as friendly as the diverse crowd.

Re: NWR Need NYC Lounge Suggestions
ok when someone asks for a lounge im always unsure of exactly which places to suggest bc not sure if you want it more of a club/lounge or more of a cafe/lounge. A place that serves food and is like a lounge is 'ONE' its in the meat packing district...theres also 'light' in midtown. I think 230 fifth also serves food and its a GORGEOUS place, pricey though

I'm lloking for a lounge that is clubby and not pricey. One looks great, but I think its more than everyone wants to spend.

Another place is Coral room, its a cool place and they have HUGE tanks with girls inside of them dressed as mermaids swimming around...It used to be real popular, havent heard about it recently so wonder if its still open

There is one downtown called PRAVDA. The best drinks and the best food.

Thanks everyone. I think we're going to try Mannahatta. Does anyone know if that place has a cover charge? My friend the Bday girl decided that she wanted to eat somewhere else first then head out to a lounge.
