I need help from the 08 girls. Can anyone suggest a lounge in NY that serves food, has good music and isn't too expensive? Thanks!

Thanks everyone. I think we're going to try Mannahatta. Does anyone know if that place has a cover charge? My friend the Bday girl decided that she wanted to eat somewhere else first then head out to a lounge.
what kind of food? Theres tony dinapoli which is family style italian, very good.
Sushi samba but pricey so maybe not
Cabana-its cuban food but for a big party might be a long wait.
Coffee shop-delicious food down in union square
cafeteria
l'express
angelo maxies
vagabondo's
maybe youre better off eating downtown, this way youll have lots of places to try after dinner...theres the gansevoort hotel that has a rooftop bar, you can also try 'ONE' since you wont eat dinner and it will be just drinks, lotus. For dinner theres also son cubano around there
Oh also cellar bar to go to for drinks

Wow. I hope people don't say that about me when they see me out in the MPD. You might not be going to the right places! I love it - it has so much more character than most places in NYC. Love the west village area - cobblestones, etc.

I want to try diff NYC lounges as well. Im sick of ASTORIA . There was one I passed the other day. I was on 54th st bet Park and Mad or Park and Lex cant remember. I slighty glanced at the place as I walked by then I realized WOW thats hot. It was black with stairs going down with a hugh chandelier by the stairs. DOes anyone know what Im talking about???
THE PLACE i mentioned above 'light' is on 54th between lex and park. And you down walk downstairs to get to...The food is delicious
yeah i like to try new places...I dont go to alot of places in astoria, even though theres alot of good places but just to kind of get out of the environment lol
Sorry I didnt read above. I want to go!!! How is it at night, only food or is it like a bar/club/dancing place.
Astoria does have great places, and Im soo used to going with friends and seeing all my friends everywhere I go BUT its starting to get annoying.
at night there is dancing and its like a club

I work in the MPD and its actually very trendy. I mean there are a few shady characters just like anywhere else but its pretty much a landmark. Why do you think its shady? Just curious. Cause, like any other club on the weekends, Its usually bridge and tunnel crowd. I knwo some people dont like that kind of crowd but its a very common crowd.

Check out Duvet on 21st Street. I went there for a b-day but only downstairs in the lounge/club area. I know they serve food on the main level but didnt get a chance to eat. The place has beds lol and i'm pretty sure they can make b-day party reservations.
