Don't send it. Someone recommended filing a complaint with Human Resources or speaking to the misinformed parties which is a better solution. Plus it sounds like everyone already knows he's an a$$ so don't give him the satisfaction of knowing you left because of him.

I dont think you should send out this letter...its not necessary, its not going to change anything. Just leave it and dont burn your bridges.

I have learned that hard way that you never really get the last word with work stuff. Someone in my law school class once told me, 'Success is the best revenge.' So, move on, live a great life and just make sure they know that you've moved past their pettiness--but leave it at that.

I wouldn't do it. You never know who he knows elsewhere, and you don't want to be blacklisted in you industry.
I would consider filing a complaint along the lines of that letter with HR though. That was it's more anonymous and he doesn't have a copy to show to other people.
I agree with this, I would send this letter to the HR person, not as an email to the managers. That way you are still standing up for yourself but in a more professional way. Good luck, it stinks when someone is always out to get you. XOXOXO Kitty

I think you need to address these issues in person at your exit interview (probably on your last day of work). You may have to get references from them in later time and it's probably not wise to make ill of a situation.
However, I am sorry to hear that you had to endure such work environment.

I agree with you 100%. Also, you'll come off as whiney not only to this manager, but to all of the other managers you 'cc'. I think it's better that you be the better person and leave with grace. Anyway, why even give this slimy guy the satisfaction of knowing he's upset you so much? If you want to write a nasty letter to get it out of your system, that's one thing, but get it all down on paper, and don't send it. Let it just be a cathartic measure.
I am also leaving my current job, this Friday is my last day. I too am pretty much leaving because I can't take working with my outrageously insane boss (among several other reasons such as not enough $$, difficult commute, small firm setting, etc). However, I will do my work until the last day and then shake his hand on my last day and thank him. I think it's best to part ways as professionally as possible. You don't want to leave a bad taste in a previous employer's mouth.
ETA: In addition to sounding whiney, you'll also appear to be a coward for not approaching the manager face to face with your concerns, but instead by sending a letter after you've already left.
Good luck with finding a better job. There's only so much mistreatment one should have to take in order to bring home a paycheck.

I'm sorry to hear about your troubles. I have had a similar experience and it almost caused me to get physically sick.
Please do yourself a favor and take the letter down off this post. You don't know who works for which company and you don't really know most of us personally.
From your post, you said you didn't get the other job yet, so for your own good-delete it, you mention names and company names and that could hurt you.
I would hate for you to get in trouble for this to add to your misery.
I wish you luck in getting the new job and hopefully you will be appreciated in your new role.
I also would not send this letter to anyone. I agree-in an exit interview bring up the talking points.

If you really want to make a difference, then bring the letter to HR. We all know how offices are, if you send the letter it will piss him off, but everyone will think you are the one being unprofessional, blah, blah.. Please heed this advice. And, maybe if you go to HR, they can help move you to a different location.

Just writing that letter should make you feel better...get things off your chest. But sending it should only make you feel worse...take the high road....be the better person here. It's very harsh and you said it yourself...you always have to get the last word in. For once just let it go.....you'll feel better about yourself in the end!

I agree that you should delete this letter and just walk away. Never put anything in writing that could end up biting you in the behind. You will just look like a disgruntled employee and it could seriously hurt you in the long run.

Thanks girls. I appreciate all your help and advice.
I most likely will not send the e-mail, but I will definitely make it a point to express my concerns in an exit interview, etc. The manager I am speaking about is not my manager, I actually do not work with him at all. That is why this thing is so bizarre. His animosity towards me is also fueled by his dislike for my actual manager, someone he has bumped heads with for years.
I found out today my 'new' job is a definite, we just need to finalize some details and as soon as it is writing (hopefully by Friday) I will be giving my 2 weeks. Actually my last day will be the week of my wedding.
