Re: NWR - Puppy question
when roxy was younger she threw up every so often bc of all the stuff she ate/chewed.
if he is just throwing up once and then seems fine after i wouldnt worry to much. but if it doesnt stop then i would take him to the vet.

Re: NWR - Puppy question
what is he throwing up? is it grass? is it bile? does it look like something he could have been chewing on?
i woudl monitor it a few more days and see what is exactly in the throw up

2 days ago i coouldnt tell but it seemed like a lot - no chunks though
today it was white and foamy which when i googled it said it was probably bile but it would mean that he hadn't ate or drank in a while - which is not true

Re: NWR - Puppy question
My older dog is always throwing up nasty stuff because he finds paper to chew on or something like that. He's usually fine. I'd check to see what exactly he's throwing up and making sure there's nothing 'edible' within his reach.

I really don't know what to say. Maybe the past two days, its been a coincidence. I would bring the puppy in tomorrow if he/she throws up again tomorrow.

Re: NWR - Puppy question
Dogs tend to throw up inexplicably. The best way to tell if something is wrong is if they are acting differently (lethargic, etc). If there are no other signs, I'd say everything is fine. But go with your motherly instinct - if you think something is up - see a vet.

my dog has thrown up bile in the middle of the night before, she is 6 months too, if it keeps happening another few times, definitely go to the vet

Re: NWR - Puppy question
yeah its probably nothing bc dogs tend to just eat random things and throw them up in a foamy mess, but if she continues i would take her to the vet...

Re: NWR - Puppy question
does it look like coffee grinds? is there blood in it? if either of those are happening you should bring pup to vet ASAP... that is signs of an ulcer.
I was puppy sitting my parents dog the day after xmas and this happened. $800 later, she somehow ate chicken bones and is caused ulcer effects and she had to take lots of meds. but she is fine now!

Re: NWR - Puppy question
is the puppy throwing up food or just nothing? my dog throws up every few days and its usually nothing. the vet told me its ingestion so we recently changed his food and he's much better now. also, you can give the puppy a tums to see if that helps.

I wouldn't worry...he might have eaten too fast, nibbled on something...if he stays fine and has not other symptoms he'll be OK

there really isn't anything in it - i thought it was his food but he has had no problems until now.
