How about the Olive Garden? Casual, inexpensive dining... and it's Italian! There's one near Starett City (however you spell that).

Let us know what you decide, and have fun!

Ahhhhhh NO OLIVE GARDEN!!!! That's place is like Italian fast food lol. No offense to anyone that likes it cause believe me I love my fast food (taco bell MMMmmmmm) BUT I think my family would disown me if I went to Olive Garden

i know this isnt italian
and its not in brooklyn
( then why am i telling you this)
but my favorite restaurant of all time (besides Ruth's Chris) is El Lavrador - its on 101st and it is Portugese . . .if you want to try something different
Hoepfully my RD will be there!

Since you posted someting 'different' I will too. I just went to a Thai restaurant called 'Sea' in Brooklyn (Williamsburg) 2 weeks ago. GREAT FOOD!!!!! The bathrooms were little capsules that each had a little tv screen that showed you what's going on througout the whole restaurant via hidden cameras, I got a kick out of it!

I don't think I've ever eaten authentic Italian food... hence the Olive Garden suggestion. LoL I didn't know any better.

I hope you find a nice place! Are you Italian Diane?

How about Maria's On Emmons Ave. That's our 1st date restaurant. We go there every year for our Anniversary also. Food is delicious.

Oh! This site might help... I forgot I had it saved to my favorites: CLICK HERE

Just select the neighborhood you want to search, then select Italian on the left panel and it will list the restaurants, their prices, menu and it even lists reviews from customers. HTH!

ETA: I didn't see your post above. Ya... I know what ur saying haha! I'm sure you all will have a great time, don't worry!

Just to respond to this, 'Sea' is part of a chain of restaurants, and one of them is called 'Peep.' It also has great Thai food, but here's the gimmick: the bathroom, which is right in the middle of the restaurant, has walls that are two-way mirrors, so as you're on the toilet, you see right through into the restaurant, but they can't see you. Get it? 'Peep'? SO WEIRD! But great food.

is Mario and Luigi's still open ? it is in Sheepshead Bay - it is a very family oriented italian restaurant. . . anthony and I used to go there all the time but they closed for renovations not sure if they reopened!

how about Rollin Roaster? thats always a classic HA HA JK

Did they get new management? I passed their today and it's a totally diffeent name. I think they went out of business.
