I know we all have a little bit of OCD in each of us, and figured we can share stories.
Here's mine:
I don't have automatic windows or door locks on my 2005 Toyota (?) ...I gave my brother a ride on Saturday and he forgot to lock the back door, and the window was cracked a bit. I noticed this about two exits from my house, and it kept haunting me until I pulled my car over on the Belt Parkway, unlocked my seatbelt and climbed over to close the window and lock the door....I just couldn't wait to get to my house right?

When we all went to have my BMs fitted...I started telling them all to lose weight!!!!! I didnt realize how bad I sounded until afterwards when they were all looking at me with these 'you Bridezilla you' eyes...I didnt mean to offend anyone its just that they were all trying on sizes that they were ordering so I just wanted to make sure that all fit well...to forego any future drama...

When I go shopping, I can't take the first item on the shelf. It always has to be the 3rd one back. Also, it drives me crazy if the shoes in my closet aren't in the 'correct' order.

I turn the spices so that the labels always face forward.
everything has a 'side' in the fridge.
I wash my hands multiple times a day.
damn I am off my rocker, cause that's just the tip of the iceberg my friends.

I have plenty, but this is the one I can't shake: I can't close a door unless I am holding my keys in my hands. Even if they are in my bag, I can't shut the door.

Whenever I buy something, it has to be the PERFECT one. Especially if it is a gift for someone. I have th check all the seams, bows, etc to make sure it is perfect. I'll go through like 10 items to get the one that is the most 'perfect'.

Re: NWR: Share your most 'OCD' of moments...
I have BAD OCD…in regards to cleaning really bad I need to see the lines in the carpet in my bedroom or else the room looks like a disaster - hence why I HAVE to vacuum everyday - THANK GOODNESS we're putting hardwood floors down next month - even the bath rug drives me up the wall if its not 'fluffed' I must smack that damn rug out the window three times a day just to get it 'fluffed up' After I finish cleaning the house I have to go back into every room and make sure that everything is in its place - so I'll go and straigten out pillows and knick knacks on tables and shelves over and over until I feel like its perfect…its actually quite annoying… My clothes in my drawers and closets have to be in a certain order - in my drawers all my shirts need to be grouped into categories - for instance 'long sleeve work'or 'short sleeve casual' etc etc…in my closet same thing - work pants together, jeans together, blah blah blah… Ok now that you all think I'm officially nuts - let me just say that I WISH I wasn't like this - it is one the most hardest things wanting to have everything so perfect and in its place…its frustrating and it causes fights amongst me and my fh and my family - bc they think I'mj ust over doing all of the 'cleaning'and that I'm just a neat freak…I would love to not want to pick up that towel on the floor or wash that dish and dry it and put it away right then and there...

I check that my alarm is setproperly 3 times before bed.
I have taught children with OCD and it can be one of the most debilitating disorders one can ever see. So sad.

I get out of bed so many times at night to double and triple check things.
Like making sure the front door is locked, that the oven is off, all windows are closed.
I get out of bed seriously about 8-10 times before i fall asleep.

Re: NWR: Share your most 'OCD' of moments...
I'm total OCD when I cook. I have to wash my hands in between preparing each item of food. Especially when I'm preparing meat. I take the meat out of the package, usually with a fork or something, but I have to wash up after I do that. After I cut the meat, I have to wash, etc, etc... I also keep a huge bottle of purel by the kitchen sink and after I wash my hands I use the purel.
While dinner is cooking, I use my lysol disenfectint wipes on the counters just in case the meat touched the counter.

Re: NWR: Share your most 'OCD' of moments...
I'll be going to bed and suddenly think of random things like where is my birth certificate, I then have to get up and not go to bed until I find it. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night afraid I don't know where my keys are or even more random, a sweater I haven't seen in a while; have to get up and search the closet and go physically touch my keys before I can go back to bed. Mind you, my keys are always in the same place. It's really annoying.
