NWR: Your dream job (a realistic one)

If you could do it all over, what would you be? I don't mean astronauts or movie stars, but a real job that you wish you had chosen instead.

I think I would have been either a nurse or a teacher. (NOT an accountant).

But I don't have the time or money to change that now, so it is what it is.

What would you be?

ETA: Also include what you do now!

teacher, no doubt.

unfortunately it's a little too late for that to happen right now. i know they say it's never too late to go back to school, but at this point right now, after figuring everything out, we cannot afford it. maybe in like 20 years i can go back, but now is not the time for us

Oh you are just as boring as me!!! I work in Corporate Reporting in an investment bank!

I applied for teacher's fellows a couple years ago and got called - but it was such a huge paycut. . . .

i always wanted to do that, but we can't afford the paycut (which is why i can't go back to school for it now), and they focus more on math and science programs, and i really want to teach social studies.

Yes, for some people it may be. I think I meant a job you would seriously consider as an adult, not something you necessarily dreamed about as a little kid, before you knew what it really entailed, etc.

I am a boring accountant now
I would be a vet in a zoo, so that I can deal with Tigers and Polar Bears---I still think about going back to school but I am hesitant
