nyc restaurant for our anniversary

a week from today is our 4 year anniversary and we want to go out to a fancy dinner in the city. any suggestions? we love steakhouses, italian, new american, asian fusion....

Cru for a really wonderful experience but it's also so expensive.

I also like Annisa, Blue Water Grill, Craft, Felidia's.

For fusion, Buddakan or Tao. Both great food, both great scenes.

A nice, moderately price, excellent Italian restaurant is Gradisca on 13th street between 6th and 7th.

I think the Rainbow Room closed down? Or maybe the Rainbow Room Grill? Not sure.

Buddahkan is AWESOME - great food and drinks, and the decor is amazing. It's in the Meatpacking District. (Asian fusion)

Bond 45 is in Times Square and is great for Italian food.

Tavern on the Green is really beautiful. A lot of people think the decor is outdated, but I think it's so pretty - so pretty, in fact, that I priced it for our wedding. I've only been there for brunch, but it was really yummy. And it's in Central Park, which can be super romantic.

I love ruths chris for steak

I love sevilla in the west village for spanish food

Craft is great but how about Gramercy Tavern? Balthazar? Per Se?
Del Posto? Morimoto? Better food at Jean Georges & more romantic park setting @ New Leaf Cafe than Tavern on the Green -IMO.

For steak, Peter Lugers hands down. They have a Brooklyn location and a LI location.

I used to live on the upper east side some of my favorite city places to go on a date and eat....

Campagnola my ultimate favorite italian restaurant!
74th st and 1st ( we have seen many famous people there as well)

Brasserie -this is where my FH took me on our first date. midtown 53rd between lex & park

Mortons steakhouse 5th ave and 45th street (i met heather locklear here )

I like Blue Smoke. It has a southern, jazz, steakhouse atmosphere.

eta: there is a place THAINY on 3rd that has great Thai food!!! and the rest of 3rd around there is full of other restaurants and bars too!!!

Spice Market is amazing, and the atmosphere is great, fantastic cocktails...Make sure you get the ginger fried rice

Buddakan is one of my favorites, every single time we go the food is AMAZING, great service and great atmosphere.

For something a bit more romantic, how about Le Bernardin, dh and i have been thinking about going there for our anniversary. Or how about Per se. I heard L'espinasse opened up again, if so then that would be great too. It used to be the top restaurant in the city, its in the st.regis hotel thats if you want french food. Or how about Daniel
