so i just read on LI famililies... that in order for the city schools to close there needs to be 6 inches by 6am.. i dont wanna wait till 6 am to find out!

thats ridic! 4 inches is more then enough for people to not be able to drive or get there cars out of there spots..so annoying ! i just dont get it

Since people overe there on lifamilies are praying for pigs to fly over Court Street... I will do the same!!

Ugh I totally hear you. I go to law school in the city which is totally awesome because its only an hour and a half treck in there!!!

Last year, I literally got snowed in (we got 6 or 7 inches) and my professor said he would 'consider' my 'situation' when deciding whether to count the absence against me.

i'm keeping fingers crossed too!!!!! i have to commute to brooklyn- i can take a train and a bus to get there... but if they are waiting until 6am i may just opt to go in late!!! i'm def not going to hop on the 605am train to turn around and come back and get stranded somewhere!

I work and live in the Bronx and last time we had a snow storm I went into work and there were so many teachers out that they just had the kids report to a room for their specific period all day long with one sub...It was such a waste of a day and it took me 20 minutes to clean off my car after work that a 5 minute drive took me 30 min!

i just heard from school coordinator that she thinks they will close...just thinks bloomy isnt announcing it yet just to make sure storm stays on path
