NYC Wedding Coordinator Recommendations?

I'm planning a destination wedding in NYC and I live in Orlando, FL. I don't have any friends or family in NY so I'll need help selecting venues and vendors, etc. I'm shooting for a May 3rd wedding date with about 25 guests.

Any recommendations for a wedding planner? I'm planning to contact Manhattan Events. Anyone familiar with them?

My girlfriend used a company called Setting The Scene. I do not have the number. If you contact them ask for Joan. My friend was elated with her.
