Where are all of you in your planning?

I'm looking high and low for a dj and a videographer. We got engaged over a year ago and I thought I had all this time... I'm now thinking I wasted so much time

So far I have:
Cermony & Reception-Danfords
Rev Janine Burns
Photographer
Dress
I made the STD's just have to print & send
talking with travel agent about HM

I still have a lot to do. Next on the list is video & DJ. My FMIL is a real Martha Stewart (not a criminal haha) so she is going to do a lot of the flowers and favors. I will probably only have to use a florist for a few things...I'm hoping anyway.

I'm happy that you all are attending the GTG I wasn't going to go because I thought everyone might know each other already!

I'm glad you are attending Happy! I have met a few brides at the GTG in Midtown, which included fellow October Bride - mv1003.

I still have a lot to do too! I think you're right on track though! Have you considered any videographers or dj's??

Lucky for you you have a FMIL who is crafty! That is a HUGE plus!

Don't foget

Danfords has 2 preferred DJ's Get in Tune and I forgot the other. We are going to start with them. If we booked one they go up in this Special booth off the dance floor. If we use an outside vendor they can't use the booth. I have heard good things about Get in Tune but we have to go listen. Video we are trying to stay around 1,000 but I don't know if there is anyone out there that will do a decent job for that. We are going to start our hunt next week.

how about you? what do you have left? where are you having the reception? details details!!

My friend is using Get In Tune! She is very excited about it! Glen is supposed to be GREAT!

I am getting married at the Fox Hollow.

I have a few things done already:

Church - St. James
Bands - Rhapsody and Kristali (croatian band)
Makeup - Jacqueline Nicole
My Gown
BM's Gowns
Videographer - Bellarino - BTW they have TONS of different packages
Photographer - Cassarino

I think that's it. I've been on a planning break recently!

Me too. I figured after the holidays I would get back into the wedding mode. I haven't yet though LOL.

One of my BM's is a pastry chef in bablyon village. She is going to make my wedding cake! I love the mini cakes but she might kill me if I ask her to do that. We'll see :)

Fox Hollow is sooo nice! I'm actually going to a wedding there this March! I let you know how is goes.

I have heard good things about Bellarino they are on my list.

I do the same thing. I keep thinking ohh we have soo much time we can do it next weekend LOL. That's why I have dreams that it's my wedding and there is nothing done..my dress doesn't fit and we forgot to buy our wedding bands

This is great I'm soo happy that there are other OCT brides to chat with. We can keep each other on track.

We'll the cake friend didn't offer her services I just said 'your making my cake' LOL. Oh course she was happy to but I really didnt give her a choice

Hi,
As you can probably guess, I'm Oct 10th. I've only done a few things - got the church, reception hall (Hamlet in Commack - absolutely beautiful!), my dress and the BM's dresses (actually I let them pick out their own dresses, all different, so I can't take credit for that. I'm now stressing over everything else, UGH. But I'm so glad I found this website and message board. Now I feel like I can finally get some reliable help!

Hi Mel and Welcome!!!

I'm not sure who you're referring your question to, but I booked Photos of the Heart! They were pretty much the one and only photographers we visited with. We spent about 3 hours with Ives going through albums and watching videos. He was a doll to deal with! Didn't get to meet his wife, unfortunately, but I've heard great things about her. I booked everything super-early, so I haven't had any contact with them recently, but I am very happy in my decision (we're also using them for video).

Thanks Karen 32.....I'm not too sure how this chat room works yet, so I was directing my question at anyone!! I'm am strongly considering Photos of the Heart. They seem great. I just want to know I'm making the right decision. Unfortunately we don't know anyone who has used them. I'd love to go on personal recommendation, but they do seem very, very good.
