Thank you. I was in a wedding where we entered to soca music and it was so much fun. It was like being at carnival

Do you know which songs you plan to use? I wouldn't even know where to begin with the songs. I wish I could do something like this but I don't know if it would be appreciated by FH's family; his guests are more older and stiff.

Have you booked a DJ? if so which one? I would like to get feedback from my Caribbean people on DJ', since music is important.. Thanks!

My DJ company is Raphael Gordon Of Music Mixed Intelligently. His prices are really reasonable and I will have my reggae and soca music the day of.

I'm not sure which song i'm going to use at this point. I'm trying to find a song that is appropraite but fun at the same time. We have hundreds of songs on the computer that we listen to all of the time so we will have to sit down and listen to them one weekend and narrow down the song. Our DJ also has experience with this type of music so he might be able to help us also.

I think the older people in our families would love it. the purposes is to get everyone in the mood to party and it did that at the wedding i was in.

I am from St. Kitts and my FH is Jamaican,...we will be having black cake, some Caribbean food such as oxtails and Roti. We are also will be having steel pan playing for the ceremony. Seeing as though almost all of the guest are WestIndian we most definitely will be playing Reggae and Soca. We are also having drummers and pan players to enhance the Dj. That's all for now...lol...I'm sure by next week I'll add something else...lol

Can the RH's make Oxtail? I would love that because I know not everyone eats American food. Especially the older folks. I am just worried that it may not taste the same and my wedding end up being the talk of the town. Can you taste it before hand? I LOOOOOOOve Roti.

They said that they can make anything that we want but I am definitely going to taste it before the big day. I am kind of worried that it won't taste the way that it should and if that's the case I plan on just scratching that idea and just infuse Caribbean foods in the cocktail hour. Finger foods like saltfish fritters and banana fritters and stuff like that.

Ok cool Maybe I should check that out at my hall...my family would LOVE it

Yeah, my side will love the soca but FH's side they will definitely just sit there. They started playing soca and chutney at FH's nephews birthday party last year and everyone left the dance floor and just stared at me and my cousins dance.

Duet usually books up quickly but they aren't the only good photographers out there. Try 12th Night Photography and You said you liked Patken too try them, also J'adore Love, Nick G. Photography, and Amanda Picone.

Hello Ladies. I'm bajan and my fiance is american. I'm trying to incorporate both of our cultures into the wedding. Soca is a must have at the wedding. I think 'The Wedding Song' by Glen Washington is a must have at any caribbean wedding.
