Hello Ladies. I'm bajan and my fiance is american. I'm trying to incorporate both of our cultures into the wedding. Soca is a must have at the wedding. I think 'The Wedding Song' by Glen Washington is a must have at any caribbean wedding.

Hello,
Congrats on your upcoming wedding!!! Welcome to the LIW addiction!!!! Soca is definately fun to have at a wedding.

Check out the band at After Hours. They are pretty good and after calling around I found they were the most reasonable even if you dont book your DJ with them

Hello everyone,

I am helping to plan a bach party for one of my friends that's getting married in september. We are renting a party bus and going to the city.

Can any of you suggest any west indian clubs or lounges or restaurants in the city that we can hit up.

TIA!

I am trying to decide what songs to have played when me and my bridal party walk down the aisle. I should add that I'm having the songs played on a steel pan so I am looking for popular songs that people would know without hearing the words.
I'm leaning towards 'Back at 1' by Brian Mc Knight for me to walk to but I'm stuck on what the girls should walk down the aisle to. I was thinking of 'Ribbon in the Sky' by Stevie Wonder.

What are you ladies using?

I like 'Ribbon in the Sky.' Sorry I'm not very helpful since I have not even begun thinking about songs.

Hey girls...

Is anyone having black cake made for the wedding?

My mom wanted to do it for my wedding and now she's changed her mind because she feels overwhelmed. We have to make enough for 400 people.

If you know of anyone who makes tasty back cake please send some info my way!

Thanks!!!
