I was wondering if anyone been there recently and knows if they finished raising the ceiling in the upstairs room.

BTW what is the min. guest for the upstairs and downstairs room?

I really like the downsatirs room but booked the upstairs instead because of the view and my fiance liked it better because we have young kids attending and are worried about them going outside.

The ceiling upstairs is not done.....Im getting married there in a few weeks and they were telling me over a year ago that the ceiling was going to be completed......So just dont get your hopes up.....they have been planning it for years and with the economy it might not get done......I booked it thinking if its done great but if not I still love the place so it really doesnt even matter to me.

We were considering it too but decided the same that it was just TOO much food. I think we are going to add the chocolate fountain though. We have some kids coming and its a fun way to end the night.

I'm thinking about the fountain too. FH thinks we don't need it but we'll see...Going to the tasting tomorrow! I'm so excited!

My FH didn't think it was necessary either. I am still working on him but after the tasting he did seem to appreciate it more lol. Good luck tomorrow! Can't wait to hear how it all went!!

For the couples that are getting married at CLM:

i know this is early... but do we know anything about a rehearsal? I am getting married on a Saturday night... can they do a walk through on a Friday?

Oh, good question. I haven't thought about that.
Maybe they can do a quick run-through before the ceremony if they can't do i the day before.
By the way...went to the tasting tonight and it was great! Loved everything. Had a great time and am soooo stuffed.

Oh, good question. I haven't thought about that.

oh I am so excited.... we plan on tasting in July...

Has anyone found a officiant yet? I called up Mike Callahan because that is who Nick recommended me to. I left two voicemails in the last two months and he hasn't returned my phone calls. I also looked up officiants on LIW and e-mailed two of them and they haven't returned my e-mails either!

Do we have a shortage of officiants?!

Any suggestions?

I'm using Pastor April. I saw her on here and heard good things about her. I haven't met with her yet trying to set a date to meet with her. She calls you back quick and answers your email too. The good thing since I live in Queens and she only meets on weekday nights she does over the phone meetings, which is great. Here is her web site check her out.

Hey Guys! I can't believe I am so close to reaching my one year mark. I am starting to get my STD's ready. We have quite a few out of town guests. I have been looking into a few hotels to accomodate them. Did anyone start doing this yet? If so, what have you found??

I think they The CourtYard Marriot in Farmingdale provides shuttle service to and from CLM if you book enough rooms.

Yea I've heard that the Farmingdale Marriot is great. I have been trying to call them all day today and nothing! They transfered me to a million different places and then I was on hold for 10 minutes. I guess I'll have to try again but that was not the greatest first impression.
