Hi! Do you plan on writing a wedding review after your wedding this year? Are you having the ceremony in their newly renovated outside area?

Hi Stacey! I'll be doing my hair at my hairdressers in Brooklyn. She has done a fantastic job on my hair these past few years and I wouldn't trust anyone else to style my hair on my wedding day. I definitely don't want an updo. I think I want falling curls, but it all depends on the dress and veil that I end up choosing.

I'm getting married at a church. It was important to us that the wedding be in a church. I plan on writing some type of review. It probably won't be as detailed as most. I am not using many vendor from this site.

Re: ***Official African American Brides Thread***
I wish I had the time frame that all of you brides have. I just started planning in the end of September, 2007 for a July, 2008 wedding. So, as far as vendors go, I had to book immediately, especially for a summer wedding. My dj is Finer Touch Entertainment. I picked the package with the video montage, lighting, ceremony music, dj/mc, etc. I think it would make for a more exciting wedding day. I have all of my vendors, but my main focus right now is paying for the RH and the dj.Those are the two most important things that will make or break your special day. We love food and music! I don't think anyone will remember if I had the satin or poplin napkins. (I rented poplin, by the way, if anyone cares)! lol
I am working on the 'small' things now. (I have yet to encounter a 'small' task in the planning stages). But anyway, I am doing cd's and photo coasters, which match my color. I am doing my own cake topper and We Do letters. I am working on my menus, but I know I am going to be asking a LIWedding bride for some assistance soon. It seems that I can come up with DIY's for other people's events, but for mine, it just doesn't seem good enough. Enjft, since you offered, how about a little help with those fabulous drink menus? FM me if you read this.
Does anyone have a master list of wedding to-dos?

i soooo want to do a steelband for the CH but it's not in the budget right now. i'm considering having the DJ play some steelpan music. i can get my uncle to get some music for them to play, seeing as CH music is included in my package.
BTW: i was wondering what happened to this thread. Hi Ladies
