Hi Ladies, I want to start this thread so we can talk about DeSeversky and share thoughts and ideas. I know there are 2 others getting married at DeSeversky so far.

Oh and last but not least, make sure you go over your final details with Debbie WAY in advance. When I wanted to finalize the final plans, she did not respond for days (and this was a week and a half before the wedding) and then I got an email saying she was on vacation! So I didn't get to finalize the final plans she sent me (because some things were incorrect and/or needed to be changed) 2 days before the wedding! An even though it was 2 days before the wedding, she WASN'T CALLING ME BACK!!!!And that was stressful because she told me I couldn't add the beer I wanted to. But we spoke to Scott who also works with her and he took care of it.
Hi Girls:
I am having the exact same problem. It is really frustrating me. Is anyone else having this problem????

I feel your pain. See if you can talk to Scott. I'm not even sure who he is, but my now husband spoke to him before the wedding. Good luck with everything!!! Enjoy every second of the day.

it depends on what kind of reception you want to have, Mansion, European, or Sit down.

Re: Official DeSeversky Center Thread
Any DJ recommendations for DeSeversky??
I have been reading the posts on here but haven't found many recommendations on DJ's you have or are using for your weddings at DeSeverky. Any input? I'd really appreciate it.

You make me laugh - i totally agree w/ you and the bathrooms it's like they updated them in the 70s w/out any concept of the mansion itself - so wrong, but I like the mansion and I had the same thought as you, there only bathrooms... we are planning to book

Re: Official DeSeversky Center Thread
I hired Laurie Savino - she was GREAT. And she's very familiar with DeSeversky, Debbie Rhodes & Chef Rizzuto (and all of their quirks). I highly recommend her - (718) 309-4054.

I have a friend who had a fake cake on display and then had a sheet cake cut up in the back and plated, and no one knew the difference. Much more inexpensive option. Not exactly sure where you find a 'fake cake' but hers was beautiful. I

Re: Official DeSeversky Center Thread
Hello,
I am getting married this Saturday at the DeSeversky Mansion. We are doing a Mansion style wedding for about 125 people. I was just hoping anyone who has had their wedding there can give me any last minute advice of what I should expect the day of the wedding at DeSeversky. Is there anything that you wish you know now you knew then
Thanks

Re: Official DeSeversky Center Thread
I too am getting married there, September 29th, 2006. Very excited. I really want to do the mansion style wedding with the dinner and then dancing in the ballroom. I'm having second thoughts though becuase the ballroom is so pretty and te other room (with the sun room) is not as nice. The poles are ugley and the rug seems dirty. What do you think? Also, I've heard mixed reviews on the food. Have you girls heard anything? Congrats to you! Looking forward to hearing from you. xoxo

Re: Official DeSeversky Center Thread
Congratulations to you all. I'm looking into Deservesky as well. I agree with you about the dining room and the floor looking dirty BUT remember there are going to be tables in the room and I'm sure placement will be such that you won't see any stains. Besides, people are not going to be looking down. I think you are going to have a wonderful mansion style wedding - reading the other posts they said it was fantastic.
I've heard the food is very good so don't worry - the space is so gorgeous you are both going to have wonderful days.
Definitely keep us posted!!!
