I'm getting married at the DM 08/01/10! I also booked the DM/ Arianna Studios package. Sam was originally my Bm, but he's gone, so now Chris is my BM. My guest list is at 150. I'm considering going with Cress Florists. Still working on my invites, I decided to shop around for them on my own instead of getting them thru Wedding Plaza. Any suggestions for nice affordable invites, placecards, RSVPs and a name sign??

Our wedding is a few weeks away! May 29th! We have Chris as our BM too. He makes me laugh. We love him! We also used Cress Florists. Thomas is a good ole guy. We like him too. Also used the package with Ariana Studios. We were happy with our invites from Ariana. We had to do all the stuffing ourselves. Not sure if that is standard or not though. See Natalie aka Princess Trockel re: name signs. She used an online service I think.

Will have to wait and see how the rest goes and up to our wedding when I will give a review! Right now, trying to lose weight in a hurry!

Plans are coming along fine. A few more creative stuff to do but caught a bad cold and my mom wound up in the hospital so haven't done much lately. Got my marriage license. I have my third dress fitting coming up and visiting with Grahm the DJ at Ariana Studios and the MC and video guy. Cake done. Florist almost done. Creating table signs and apothecary jars filled with candy.

Been waiting forever and now I want to slow it down. I can't believe this day is finally going to arrive after all this time and planning. Thanks for asking.

I just got back from Manhattan. Got my veil and tiara there but not my dress. Long story about how I won a wedding gown thru the Dr. Phil show at Kleinfeld last Sept but already bought my dress at Bridal Reflections so got the veil/tiara.

Getting the candy for the Apothecary Jars. Making my table number signs only with the words Hope, Faith, Love etc.

Getting the place cards from Ariana studios. Also bringing over the photos, video and song list tomorrow for the DJ, Grahm and the video guy. We are getting the Projection Screen.

I have until next Wed. for the final count and payment at the DM and am bringing everything over to DM for the wedding reception. But, how will they know where to put everything? Natalie, any answers?

Also, thinking of dropping the Clover green ties and vests for the groomsmen. Heard another bride saying it looked like a prom. I don't want them looking like Leprechans!

Ceremony programs, Welcome Guest bags for the guests staying at the Adria Hotel on Northern Blvd. $135/room including breakfast. We are getting shuttle buses to and from the hotel and Doug Manor from Ollies Taxi.

Last dress fitting on Friday. Still have to finalize the flowers with Cress florist. Tom is a nice older guy but runs around like a chicken without a head. I still have to pay close to $600 for the extra BM bouquets and centerpieces past 10 tables even though flowers are part of the package.

Are you sorry you asked? It's coming together though! Also have to pack for our honeymoon in Sandals Dunns River in Jamaica and also our honeymoon night at the Garden City Hotel which we got gratis for booking our services with Ariana Studios. We chose the package which includes the Doug Manor but went outside for the photography. Using Amanda Picone. She is great. Also using Natalie of Cappriccio ensemble for solo violinist and organist at the church. She plays beautifully.

Chose our 5 entrees: Filet Mignon, Atlantic Salmon, Chicken Boursan, Tilapia, Slow Roasted Pork and I chose Asparagus.

I gave my BM Sam at the time a run down of where everything went, and a chart of how I wanted the tables to look...they will set everything up and they also will let you see your room before the guest get let in so if you wanted something changed there is time.

Oh, OK good. I'll outline everything then like that. Glad my food will taste good! :) I had the tasting last summer so I almost forget and I never tasted the Filet Mignon, pork chops nor the Tilapia.

I went to the Douglaston Manor yesterday to leave more money and when i pulled up there were all of the beautiful flowers just planted it makes the place look so gorgeous!!! next weekend is your wedding, that is so exciting wow! good luck with everything we will patiently await to see your pics! congrats agian
