Are there enough of us to have our own official Inn at NHP thread? I feel like we should have one . . . thoughts?

That is so exciting. So glad I found this forum!

I just booked about 2 weeks ago. I have less than 3 months left.

I am working with Barbara...Is anyone else working with her?

They had a big fundraiser going on the day we had our appointment.

She didn't say anything about where the CH would be and we didn't really get much of a tour so I was pretty annoyed.

The place is beautiful and the food smells delicious. Can't wait until we do the tasting.

I haven't gotten any emails from them or phone calls to set up a proper tour...and I am super busy so I haven't had a chance to call them.

Anyone having kids at their wedding? if yes, did they reduce the price? I have removed all the kids from my reception except my son the RB and the FG because I wasn't sure and don't really want kids there anyway.

I enjoyed reading everyone's post and am surprised about the uplighting because I wasn't told about that either

Overall my photos will be beautiful & everyone raves about the food. I was going to use Leonards of Great Neck but the BM went on vacation without even telling us and customer service means everything! I hope to have no problems with The Inn because I really love the place.

I'm getting married on 8/4 and am having trouble finding a hairstylist. If you don't mind sending your hairstylist info I'd really appreciate any help I can get...and if you have a makeup artist I need that info as well.

Ooh that is SO exciting Cappygirl - YAY!! We are doing that May 30th. It's a little early for us, but I am working with Janine and she is super pregnant, so I'm hoping to get everything in before she has the baby! Plus my dad travels a lot for work and he wants to be there! :)

Hahaha we are going for our final menu June 2nd...totally don't want Janine to pop before then! hahaha Good luck girls and keep me posted on your decisions. Still have to book a limo (looking for minimum time and the cheapest) and still can't decide about the uplighting.

I really want to do some enhancements and I am hoping maybeeeee they will throw one in for free. Anyone have this experience. I want the to-go carts or something for the guests on the way out and possibly the intermezzo and there was one other thing I couldn't remember. Ahhhhhh so much fun! hahaha Talk to u all soon.

Also, for those of you going for final menu/linens, etc, is that separate form your tasting?

I'm doing my tasting a year in advance. Might as well get a free anniversary dinner out of it

I wanted to share that we just went for our food tasting this past Sunday. Everything was delicious!! Chef Alan came out and spoke to us and answered any questions we had on the menu. The waitress was so nice and Frank even came by to say hi. Our parents loved it! They brought out eggplant rollatini, fried calamari, stuffed clams, a delicious salad and then all the entrees!! And desert of course! It was amazing!

SO exciting girls!!

Our meeting with Linda is tomorrow and we are really hoping to make some modifications to the menu as it stands now. We are hoping we can maybe swap a few of the standard 'stations' to get something instead . . . not sure what, but hope that Linda has some good suggestions.

We've heard of them throwing in exit tables at the end of the night, mostly zeppoles, which is OK by me! I'm going to ask them to do that for us too! Wish us luck and send good vibes our way that we can reach some good compromises . . .

I'll update everyone after tomorrow night!

I can't believe I JUST found this thread now. I booked in January!! Just took like an hour to read all the pages of posts its great to hear all the different perspectives. My one question to everyone that I've been dying to ask other Inn brides, past or present.. Does anyone have an issue with the size of the dance floor??? I felt like it was kind of small and that was honestly the only thing that I didnt like about the Inn.. It wasn't enough to not book, but I come from a family that dances non-stop so I was just curious if anyone else ever had concerns about it

We just got married at the Inn....it was amazing. The dance floor was not a problem and I HATE crowded dance floors...everyone had enough room to dance. =)
