OK now I got one better for you guys........when I was about 11 or 12 some moons ago in brooklyn there was this zecchino d'oro show that the italian community used to have and they would get all the kids from the neirghborhood and from the tri-state area and they would participate. The winner would go see the show in Italy of the real zecchino d'oro I dont know if anyone remembers, the reharsals used to be held at the Cotillion Terrace. The reason why I know is because my cousin participated in it hahahha what a laugh that was......
but it was also cute,,,,,,,,,,imagine the same kid won twice and thats when all the parents got annoyed and wanted to kill the judges.......it was hysterical

did you win?......because only the person that would win first prize got to go, but not to participate only to be a member of the audience.

Re: **Official Italian Bride Thread**
I have a question for you girls that live in Bklyn. My brother is getting married in June, and being that he lives in Bklyn, I want to get my hair done there rather then Staten Island. Does anyone know of a good salon that dpes updo's?? No PILO ARTS!! I heard they are very over priced !!!Are there any salons on 18th ave or around that vicinity where I can make an appointment? June 10th is right around the corner & I'm really cutiing it close. I need to book for myself, my mother & my sister (Shes 13)
Thanks soooo much!

Re: **Official Italian Bride Thread**
Janie I was referred to a salon called Lush and it's located right across the street from Pilo. I actually have a hair trial with them in a few weeks. The girl there that specialzes in updos is Stephanie. If you're iterested FM me and I'll give u the #. Also, there's another salon I go to but it's not in the 18th ave. area- it's called Faces and it's near Marine Park - but they do really great hair. The girl there for updos is Laura. HTH

I thought we were the only crazy ones playing those songs!!! I've gotta see if FH remembers them, b/c they might go on the MUST PLAY list. MIRAGE must know them. What do you think, JozieB?
Hey!
We didn't have either song played at our wedding, but I am positive they will know them. Just double-check with them the next time you speak to them.
You are going to be sooo happy with them. The lead singer (forget her name) is amazing. Love her voice!!
Wilma!!! Hurricane Wilma was in Florida the week I met her, so I'll never forget. She has the best voice, we love her! You have FM![/QUOTE
Just FM'D you back!]![]()
