To put it bluntly 'I AM SO ENVIOUS'
when i went to vera wang in feb they did not have those! then this weekend i was in bloomingdales trying to find a dress for my FMIL and low and behold, there was my dream bridesmaid dress. I grabbed it and put it on over my clothes in the middle of the store. I wanted celedon too, but my FSIL did not like the color :(
we ended up getting alvina valenta dresses, and i had to pay an extra 70 bucks to add a train onto them...
one question... do you know if that bubble hem is hard to get shortened?

oh well i am soo bummed... i will just have to settle for seeing pics of your bm in them. Is it possible for you to post a bigger pic than the one in your avatar? thanx!
and congrats on the beeeeeeeautiful dress

OMG! THANK YOU that is so sweet! That s*cks that Vera wang didn't have them in Feb. I went to their preview sale at their showroom, found it there, and then I went to a trunk show at another salon to see it again, to make sure I really liked it. It was so hard b/c I loved it from the start but couldn't see it again b/c they only put the new collection on their website this month!!!!

Only the front of the dress gets hemmed. The bubble hem is actually a little train that gets bustled, so the seamstress just has to add 1 or 2 bustles. And I am leaving it up to each BM if they want to bustle it - they can do whatever they want after they walk into the reception. When I get home I will post a larger pic and one of the front.

By the way, your BM dresses must be beautiful - one of Alvina Valenta's was in my top 3 for the bm dresses. I wonder if it's the same one - halter? But again, part of new collection so I did not get a picture of it.

ETA: Just looked at your profile. Ceremony in Astoria? Me too, where is your's?

Re: **Official Italian Bride Thread**

Here is mine: 1st pic is front, keep in mind that this was the model dress (size 4) not the sample dress and the zipper was stuck. That's why I am hiding the face!

2nd pic is the back of the dress, the bow will be tied in the center and not on the side, as is shown on the vw website.

I'm thinking about it. But what's the protocol with that? Do you give them that at the shower and is it then totally separate from the BM gift?

I'm confused too, bc i wanted to get them really nice jewelry for the wedding, but now we used up alot of money on these statues... what did all you girls do? Do you give another gift at the rehearsal dinner?
