Ahh another Calabrese bride here. Grandparents are from Amantea (not to far from Catanzaro) super small town.
FH's parents are from Sicily (small town outside of Palermo). He has dual citizenship. Once we get married I have to wait 3 years to get my citizenship.

Re: **Official Italian Bride Thread**
i like when this thread reappears....to keep the recent responses above..
my mom is from torre del greco, napoli (not too far form pompeii) and dad is from san arsenio, salerno.. a very small town...
fh family is from bertola and podenzano near piacenza by milano..
we are both first generation here and have the dual citizenship but it doesnt do much unless we plan on living or working in europe - cuz we can stay there with no prob...
any napoleatanos out there?
buon divertimento with the wedding plans!

My cousin is getting married this summer. So we will be off to Calabria for her wedding. I am so excited for her!!!! They do things so calmly over there. She just ordered her dress like 2 weeks ago. She didn't start looking until two weeks before that!!!

so happy to see this thread back again
Anyone have any ideas for an italian father/daughter song? I've been trying to think of one for months, but I can't come up with one I really like. If your FH's are dancing to an italian song with their mom, which one are they picking?

[.
You can do 2 demi-tesse cups with the demi-tesse spoons for probably under 10.00
This is what Im doing. The favor store that im using also had the set w/6 cups, but it was $12.50 each.
Bklynitaliana.. If you dont mind coming to SI.. You should check out La Casa Della Bomboniera.. They used to be in Bklyn on 18th Ave..
do you know where this place is.. or have a
number for them???
I saw the demitasse favors in Wedding Coach on 18th Avenue & 70th Street. Also Shower Coach on Kings Highway has them too. My older son gave everyone an entire set of demitasse cups and saucers as the favor at his wedding. It was very nice and he got them at Shower Coach.

I would really like to have an Italian song to dance with my dad...but I have no clue which one!!!
For FH/Mom...they could always use Mamma. (Although I feel it has been used toooooo many times!!!!) My FH won't be using an Italian song.
