I dont know how I missed this thread. FH and I are both 100% Italian. My dad was born there (capaci right outside of Palermo). My sister is getting married in about 3 weeks and for the past 2 weeks my dad has all the Italian music being played in the house to figure out what he wants played at the wedding!! He is driving everyone crazy but he is too funny!

Still haven't decided on a dad song or favors..I really don't want to hand out mikasa b/c everyone does that, can anyone help????
I had the same problem with the dad song but the ladies here were helpful so I may have found mine, but here are some others too.
Here are the popular ones: Lauretta Mia, Figlia Mia,
Favors I think there are some cute things out there, like pepper and salt shakers, bowls, vases, trays. There is always the espresso maker (the stovetop one) or the espresso cups. Just to name a few.
Good luck!
After searching and searching for favors we found nice cream colored milk pitchers. We ordered them from the Bronx. FM if you want info

So are any of you having guests from Italy at your wedding? So far we have 7 possible family members planning to make the trip next year.

Ciao all the italian brides! A must play for me is 'MAMA' I saw it used at my friends wedding and the whole reception was on the dancefloor clapping and singing. So much FUN!!!

FH & I are both part Italian. My father's family is Sicilian, I think FH is also. (he's mostly German and I'm half Irish)We've kinda decided no 'Italian' songs for the most part because his father will get a little too out of hand and loud.
